Back in the 90s The idea that someone would want to become a label or a brand was against everything punk rock stood for.Everyone around me was against consumerism and corporate companies taking over record shops. At least that was what I remember .I cannot take the word punk rock influencer seriously. Especially if they are trying to promote products.Thats why I like ur channel. Im here for the content not to buy a product.....

If you'd have actually been alive in the mid to late 70s and witnessed the inception of what would become known as punk rock you would understand why I despise postcard punks like Erin. Punk was more or less a DIY culture, it wasn't about spikey hair, ripped jeans and painted leather jackets. The 'uniforms' of the postcard punks came along well after the original punk scenes demise. Do yourself a favour and look into the origins of the UK punk scene.

I've known erin years before she was an influencer and I'll be honest... she's a really nice person and easy on the eyes... unfortunately the influencer thing has made it difficult to be around her and i just saw her last week jogging down hollywood boulevard with her phone out in front recording herself because that's what influencers do...put their whole life online to sell themselves and whatever is sponsoring them that day... it's very selloutish and that's not punk but whatever...punk is dead...

I'm kind of in the mind of tolerating a little cringe to draw more people ibto punk. You don't wanna go too far in alienating what punk is al about, but being a little image-based like Eric Micklow seems harmless, and might get someone being like, "She looks cool. I wonder what these patches on her jacket represent. *googles bands" That's partly how it happened for me. I saw punks at a park at a really young age. Thought they looked cool. I was already into metal, alt rock, and grunge early on because of my cousins and siblings. That seed stayed in my mind, and then in my preteens, a friend got me into Green Day. Another owned THPS, and those two things really sent me down the rabbithole of punk.

Erin Micklow is awesome! I actually know her. We both interview bands and we used to frequently run into each other when I lived in LA. She works really hard on her content and is very passionate about what she does.

Erin is very much 'look at me' with everything she does, but there doesn't seem much doubt that she likes punk, and she does interview loads of bands and promote them. Nobody beyond the very biggest bands makes money from punk, so that's not her driver, so it really comes largely down to people hating her look. If she looked ordinary I doubt she would get 10% of the abuse. Zombie punk might have some unpleasant stories following him, but he's been around for years, long before he was on social media.

i've met erin and she's alright, she's interviewed a few bands I know and she's a lovley person, but not the best interviewer her questions are not the greatest. and I've talked with zombie punk, he's chill yet contantly smashed out of his head though or it could be that he was at a show as that is where I met him. we were all pretty drunk, its the uk for fuck sake, being an alcoholic is common enough.

Erin actually went and interviewed my friends Turtles Jr. from Indonesia. Fuck it she wants to come out to the libertad fest in Indo she would be more than invited. None of you really care about the punk scene happening over here in Asia. Indonesia, Burma even Thailand real punks even us in Vietnam. I've personally never met her but she chases down the bands and interviews them at shows I know from experience never easy. Its not easy trying to make it these days on the internet.
