Not saying this is true in this case; the police deploy their own rioters to instigate disorder giving them justification for heavy hands and being able to disperse crowds. I had it running for 2hrs live whilst doing other stuff, a very well disciplined friendly crowd of every single type of Brit. All ages from kids to granny's, all colours on the shade card, all types of accent heard. Brits unified at their rebellious best, the bus and car drivers sounding their horns in solidarity. Generally the police just walking along beside the massive crowd, a lot of people entreating the police to be on their side. The "news" though will pick out the one or two folks that the odd group of the constables thought were deserving of an arrest.
