I think Words of Radiance is the best SA book so far but I also have a really strong emotional connection to Way of Kings because it was the book that really got me hooked on Sanderson so I have a hard time choosing a favorite between the two. I'm super excited for Rhythm of War but also Age of Death and Age of Empyre by Michael J Sullivan, both of which he plans on releasing next year.

Thorn of Emberlain by Scott Lynch is my number one. Currently in editing, hoping it finally comes out this year. Book 4 in the Books of babel would be my other top pick, but he announced in November it would slip to 2021. I'm also hopeful Sanderson slips us Wax and Wayne #4 this year. He has shelved it for a long time, hopefully he finds some time while SA #4 is being edited (Man, he is simply a machine. LoL).

I'm so happy we have a release date for Stormlight 4. I've been wanting to reread the series so bad, but I've been putting it off so that I can read it closer to the release. My favorite of the series is Words of Radiance. It felt so similar to Way of Kings but bigger, and Oathbringer had a different tone, more epic, if that makes any sense. I liked following the characters in their previous settings. I also can't wait to read Night of the Dragon. This series feels like it's meant to be an anime. It feels colorful and fun.

Oh, there are a lot of interesting sequels coming out in 2020 I'm very excited for: Memory of Souls by Jenn Lyons, as Ruin of Kings is probably my favorite book of 2019. Bradley P. Beaulieu continues with his brilliant Song of the Shattered Sands series with the fifth installment When Jackals Storm the Walls. One of my favorite sf novels of 2019 -A Memory Called Empire by Arkady Martine- is getting a sequel with A Desolation Called Peace. Garath Hanrahan had one of the best fantasy debuts of 2019 with Gutter Prayer. He follows it up with The Shadow Saint in January 2020. Curtis Craddock concludes his excellent Risen Kingdoms series with The Last Uncharted Sky. The Broken Heavens is the long awaited finale to Kameron Hurley's Worldbreaker Saga. And finally, Robert Jackson Bennett returns to the world of Foundryside with Shorefall. Honorable mentions go out to John Gwynne, David Hair, Deborah A. Wolf, Sarah Kuhn, Gareth L. Powell, Christopher Ruocchio, Kevin Hearne, John Scalzi and Evan Winter, who all have new books out, but I haven't started the prequels yet.

I loved The queens of Innslear and I am excited for Lady Hotspor(sp?) Her first book was very very character driven and I think that's why it got lower reviews. The characters were flawed in the best and most realistic ways. I hope Tessa Grafton can pull it off again.

I definatly going to watch that recap video now! I'm so excited for the fourth book, less than a year away! I was very happy when Brandon announced that he would be able to make a 2020 realise. Spoilers for all of Stormlight Archive I have a hard time ranking the books, I love the endning of The way of kings (specifically when Dalinar gave Sadeas the sword and the whole "what is a man's life worth" bit afterwards. And it also has som other great scenes, I love when Kal wakes up after being left out in the highstorm. Plus, it's a great introduction to a ten book series. WoR on the other hand I don't love the ending as much as everyone else. I liked when Kal defended Elhokar, but didn't love his superman moment afterwards. I think the entire book, especialy Shallan's parts, where really good though. I have only read OB once and I loved it, but that might have been because I was so excited to read it. I'm a bit aprehencive for Rythm of war (which might not be called RoW?), because I didn't love the parts about the singers in the other books. Still, can't wait to learn more about everything and see what's going to happene. What are you most excited about?
