Very nice. Perfect color to keep the desk industrial looking and a touch of mahogony with new pulls to bring some sophistication. Nice job.

It looks beautiful! I have found that if you sand wood above 180 grit that it will not accept stain well. So if you know you are going to sand I wouldn't go to a high grit. Have a Merry Christmas!

Yeah, I’ve experienced that too. But I think I’d rather have less luck staining than leaving behind the sanding squiggles

@MissFlips I understand no one wants to deal with those. I find that you don't go up more than 60 grit at a time you can avoid those lines. Like 80-120-180 should work. I enjoy your work very beautiful. Merry Christmas!

would you be able to use canned spray paint? i’m trying to redo an antique desk and am doing something similar but cannot afford a paint sprayer
@TheMissFlips Жыл бұрын
I mean, technically, yes. However, the amount of canned spray paint that you would need would not only be terrible for the environment but it would also probably be super expensive to the point where you might as well just buy a paint sprayer. There are some pretty affordable ones on Amazon. But if you can’t afford either, I completely understand and you’re probably better off going the old fashioned hand painted rout
