You should get a utility sink in your garage build for washing paint brushes and rollers/roller trays in. It will be so useful :).

I have a very similar Dresser in my Kitchen... as I have not enough storage in my Kitchen... its getting an update when the Weather warms up... paint and sealing the top of it.

When I saw the drawers joinery I was afraid you may be altering a antique dresser. I've seen dressers like that go for 10s of thousands of dollars untouched.
