Plowed many acres with a 2x16 plow in my early boyhood days when got easier pulling went to 3 button. Supprising how much difference in the soils can affect the pulling resistence

That sound change that the Cat makes when the for-bottoms comes out of the ground. Under load its got a soft/indistinct chatter that I guess to those in the know, it means something about the component state. When we don't film, we don't catch stuff. Thanks for posting!

Hi, Folks. Good video but the 'D4' is 'axckshully' a D2 4U series, about 38 horsepower. I think the Allis would be late enough to possibly have the first of the A-C engines after A-C bought Buda out but I don't know. I doubt it is the 11000 series engine fitted to late models. @@dplant8961 This one is turbocharged. According to Norm Swinford's book, in the mid 60's, the HD11ST was developed for ag use with a turbocharged 10000 engine. Apparently some kind of half way step before going to the 11000.

Yes, I don't think you can beat the traction of a crawler. The guy who owns this set up also has a AC D-21 and a two-twenty and neither of those tractors can pull this plow as well as this HD-11.

I ran a John Deere G as a young boy can sti hear the pop pop and have no hearing to affirm it. Till John Deere came out with Sound Guard Cab they were ear drum crushing tractor the old G was very loud and R.

Yes, they can be loud. Especially when people run straight pipes.

@@joescheller6680 the only reason I would run a straight pipe on a John Deere two cylinder tractor would be a parade or a show but other than that, they are loud enough with the factory stack on it!

I think it's the AC 516. But I'm not sure of the more specific details.

Yes the 516 and with turbo and direct injection, ( i cant see side injectors, (lanova) would be the 11000 engine.
