A few years ago I started with the A-B-S. I was looking for an optimization and found it with the "Transformer" from 'Der Materialspezialist' in Germany (Note: It has to be the Transformer! just a hint: antispin has one very nasty aspect to it. it slows down the ball and changes its trajectory. so you do not jut have to deal with spin issue, but also with unusually short falling ball, this is hard for someone that plays a lot of regular drills, the feed of their anticipation and the right positioning for the sweet spot hitting point. once you take that element out and use it well tactically u always have an advantage. against experienced and versatile players it would get very hard, especially i recognised how high you put the ball back with that antispin backhand. that could shoot back at you dangerously. very well played though.

@lgeiger2 жыл бұрын
You should use your backhand topspin more often. Antispin can be really nasty if the antispin player also has a decent backhand. A good example would be Luka Mladenovic. I personally prefer more of a Kreanga-like playstyle, but that's the beauty of table tennis. There are so many different playstyles. Truls Möregårdh is a great example as well with his crazy counter smashes and weird nospin-blocks. A few years ago a lot of people said he wouldn't be able to compete on that level with his grip and look how far he got already.
@jiriguran7959 Жыл бұрын
One of the most creative player with anti is Amirezza Abbasi. He isn't that good defender, that's his big downside. But he plays mostly at the table, turns the blade sides, can block and spin with the sharp side (with backhand when turned the blade) and can semi-attack (side push) with anti.

The advice I can give you is to try to keep the angle of the racket as perpendicular to the table as possible with every stroke you execute. Since the angle varies according to the overall speed given by the anti and blade you may need to change the angle according to the playing situation. You will only understand this by experimenting in practice sessions.

I absolutely agree with those who say that antispin and pimples out is just a short cut for those who wants to win without training. No need to learn how to receive serves (the biggest part of the game), no need to learn how to handle incoming spin. Just 2 technical elements push and chopblock instead of like 10-20 technical elements required with the pimples in rubbers. It’s ok, you can play whatever you want, but maaan, these people always say how hard it actually is to play with antispin/pimplesout. They literally gaslighting everyone around, including themselves.

Wrong, I played 6 years with inverted rubber and recently changed to long pips. Long pips are way harder, the amount of different strokes you need to learn, the feeling you need to get and when to use those strokes are way harder than any inverted player has to master. I dont know why people are trying to defend anti rubber or easy rubber. I also own a racket with 2 anti rubbers on it. And trust me, I win players who are obviously above my level when I use that anti spin racket. I win them easily. That feels like cheating and I also believe it is a form of legal cheating. (Btw, I don't use anti rubbers anymore because that doesn't make the game enjoyable even though I win mostly.) Most of the wins come from other player's mistake in calculation and I don't have to calculate because my rubber is plain. Anti players are just giving excuse of diversity, most of them 90% don't have enough compassion for the game. And they mostly don't have good technique and you can see you will always win them if you master your stroke for once. Once you find a way, anti spinner will always lose you and will deny to play with you 😂 They become furious when they lose. (From my experience, I don't know why but most anti spinners are the ones who cannot accept their loss)

The anti spinners and long and short pips could have their own League. Its very boring game to watch also for the public. And the players that use it compensate their own lack of skill in ordinary table tennis.
@MarcusNorlander-nf9dz Жыл бұрын
The attacking player has alright technical skills, but he has difficulty reading and handling spin. Makes far to many mistakes, number one is that he constantly lets the antiball drop instead of hitting it at its highest point. Makes a similar mistake when blocking the spinny forehand loop and it goes to long far to often. Mistake number three, he try’s way to difficult shots considering the kind of opponent he’s facing. A young players usual mistakes I’d say
@AndreaAschi Жыл бұрын
These are common mistakes in young players. My only chance to beat them is to find them when they are still inexperienced against certain types of players.

antispin and pimple are for people who wants easy win, when you ask them why and they say they love diversification in game, but actually they are lying
@AndreaAschi2 жыл бұрын
I respect your opinion but believe me...having success with antispin or pimple at a good level is extremely hard. You need a lot of skills in order to be competitive. I recommend you to try, you would change your mind! 😉

Exactly, LP and anti players enjoy beating players with a much higher skill level, and then make condescending remarks about how they can't adapt and so on, but the fact is it makes service return far too easy, which is usually the most difficult part of the game. Add to that many of these rubbers change the trajectory and path of the ball quite dramatically when compared to regular inverted. A ball that it is hit hard with LP OX, for example can drop short some of the time, but may float long with the same shot on the next ball/point. The QC on a lot of these rubbers is also really bad, which means their properties can be quite inconsistent. Basically, whatever anti/LP players tell you, it ALWAYS requires more skill to play the game conventionally; most of them are older players or players who can't be bothered to learn the game properly. They just want to win, by hook or by crook.
@sebu13012 жыл бұрын
@@electricrice It depends. At a good level of play you actually have to serve really good to not be ATTACKED very hard on the receive. This isn't 38 mm ball and hidden serves anymore like in the 1990's. The material player is at a disadvantage in that they can't attack the opponents serve hard with their material.

The guy in green was so irritated beacuse he couldn't play vs antispin 😂😂😂 I'm a old cpen player and i truly hated to play vs long pips before but after a while when I figured it out I started to push and play a more straight game with less spinn. Voila.. Good game also but i still hate playing vs anti and long pips ha ha

@sebu13012 жыл бұрын
Sounds good, but it's actually not easy to keep the ball empty and low with an offensive rubber. If you give spinless high balls to any decent player, you'll be eating a lot of very hard smashes
