Can I beat a Pokemon Hardcore Nuzlocke challenge in Scarlet and Violet Gen 9 using only Water types?
Nuzlocke rules:
Fainted Pokemon must be permanently boxed
Only the first encounter on any given route may be caught (dupes clause)
All pokemon must be nicknamed
Hardcore Rules:
Always Set mode
No items from the bag option in battle (held items are ok)
No overleveling the next gym leader

Right, especially in S/V where the White Herb is an infinite use item, so Shell Smash becomes even more broken on Cloyster.

Considering Gyarados famously uses Lots of hyper beams in the anime. Flame thrower isn't nearly as confusing, if anything. The fact that it can't learn Scald, The Hot Water Move. Should be the ??????????? part

Ok I think it's time we explained why Nemona picks the starter weak to yours. My best theory is that she intentionally picks that starter to help you. Remember that Nemona is a champion rank trainer and she knows that she can't use her usual team on a beginner. So it's likely she chooses the starter she does to give you a fighting chance. So the next time you think she is stupid for her choice of starter, just remember that she's going easy on you. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk!

You should do a hardcore nuzlock randomized where you only use Pokémon you haven’t used in a run. If it was caught but just sat in the box, it’s useable
