I think the point was to "keep your composure" and this is a great way to guarantee they would be subjected to a the need to "keep ones composure." Indeed, it is very unlike that in the future any of them would have to model on a treadmill.

I have not watched any of the seasons for ANTM so maybe there is always a challenge like this… BUT with this being back in 2010 I still think it’s absurd and crazy as ever! How embarrassing for them all having to do that in front of the entire audience.
