It's unfortunate that you only show the tries scored by Dupont, it's not only that that makes him the best player currently, and especially the best scrum half.

Bah non Michel, il y a pas mal d'essais amenés par Antoine, mais marqué par d'autres, reprend la vidéo tranquillement, tu verras, il est aussi honoré ici pour ses passes décisives. Regarde à 2:40 , à 3:14 probablement le meilleur, à 3:29, à 4:40 magnifique passe d'essai, à 5:26 c'est encore un caviar qu'il offre, à 5:45 magnifique passe au pied, .... etc ......

Dans cette vidéo, on ne réalise pas son véritable génie. Ce n'est pas simplement un joueur rapide et perforant, mais un tacticien capable de faire vivre le ballon pour son équipe. Un joueur au pied exceptionnel (des deux pieds!), il distribue le ballon à ses coéquipiers de manière chirurgicale. C'est aussi un excellent défenseur et un soutien sur tous les ballons décisifs. A lui tout seul il joue au moins 3 postes dans une équipe.

Merci pour ce commentaire. Car en effet, au-delà des essais... les essais sont presque anecdotiques, en fait. Le vrai talent de Dupont est ailleurs. Le talent de Dupont se résume en deux choses : comprendre le jeu, et ne jamais vouloir perdre . En ça, il est un vrai 9. (je n'ai jamais joué au rugby, mais ce jeu me plait, je le connais grave, car j'y trouve des choses parallèles aux sports que je pratique : parachute et roller de rampe)

his tries are amazing, but this is only a little part of his game Dupont has a fucking high rugby IQ, can deliver some of the greatest try-assists you've ever seen this guy had 34 try-assists in 27 games in 2023 now he is at 31 in 25 games during 2023-2024 season and 16 in 13 games with Toulouse in 2024 ( with also 9 tries) then, Dupont has a monstrous kicking game he can gain more than 40 meters in a ruck in his own 22 can kick very well from both foots can do magnificent try assits with kicks ( especially to Penaud in France team) and can find some wondeful 50-22 each game But Dupont is also a physical beast he has the strenght of a Flanker the power of a Center The speed of a winger because Dupont is really fast when he reaches his max speed ( like 34 km/h, just 2-3 lower than Penaud) and when he tackles, he has a perfect execution, he is rarely outplayed by another player and he can provoke turnovers like a 3rd row (he has done 4 in the hcup final for exemple) so we have a scrum half with high IQ, can pass the ball , can offload , and create tries so well can score tries with an incredible strenght and Power that can Kick strong and precisely with the 2 foots can run really fast can do clean breaks can beat defenders can defend can provoke Turnovers with an insane leadership, Being 7-0 in all finals he played 3-0 top 14 2-0 in Champions cup 2-0 in the Sevens Series Being honest, the only player of this generation that is more complete at him as to be Kolbe Kolbe is strong, fast, can kick, defend as well or better than Dupont only his passing quality can be lower than Dupont But apart of Kolbe, Dupont will be remembered as the most complete player of all time, and the player with the most awards (he has 26 now , and dupont is only 27 years old) so if he continues to be that great during 5-6 years, he will be the GOAT for sure So it's good to show the best Dupont's tries but that represents less than 10% of the things that Dupont can do on a rugby field awesome video dude

@@phildur ouais j'ai commencé à ecrire au bout de 2 minutes j'aurais pas du mdrr bon dcp j'ai un peu modifié mon message, vu qu'il a mis très peu d'actions défensives et très peu de coups de pied, et pas du tout de 50-22 ce qui est dommage qq meme

His explosiveness reminds me of Jason Robinson, who played on the wing for England 20 years ago. I haven't seen enough of Dupont in general play to assess his passing and rugby IQ though.

the fact that Van der flier won this award in 2022 will be remained as the biggest mistery in history... In 2022, JVDF lost the 6 nations lost in semi final of URC championship lost in final of Hcup he won absolutely 0 collective trophies this year how the fuck can you win this award without winning a single comp ??? Carter has won the World cup in 2015 Dusautoir the top 14 in 2011 Habana the super rugby in 2007 Sexton the gran Slam in 2018 and Dupont made the doublé in 2021 with Top 14 and hcup so why van der flier won ??? while Gregory Alldritt for exemple won the Hcup and 6 nations grand slam the same year without being nominated ???? WTF world rugby ???
