I actually watched this a few times because something is off and I thought it was just me. Then I scrolled down and read the comments. I was wondering why he hadn't released new music for a while now and thought he just retired. I can't remember if it's Netflix or Amazon Prime, but he is in a series with James Cann.

JG released the Stages album in 2015 and Bridges in 2018, did long worldwide tours for both, plus appeared on Broadway in the Great Comet and did the Netflix show The Good Cop with Tony Danza. So he's been very busy the whole time, did not slow down.

Actually he was quite ill and sounds off because he's congested and sick. It was amazing that he could sing at all.
