Many people forget that the 2013 Bears were the second best offense in the league right behind the Denver Broncos. Top 50 of all time. Their defense while opportunistic gave up too many yards anf points. If they had the 2018 defense, they might have went 14-2 that year with a ring.

I legit liked watching him, when he was on good he was great. Unfortunately there is possibly no player in NFL history who was more inconsistent. If he played on any other team, fans would accept all he had working against him (shitty coordinators, horrible oline) but since there's this unspoken rule about Chicago, its just more and more criticism

I was a huge Cutler fan since he was drafted by Denver, and I am a Bear fan, been one since 2000. So when we got him in '09 I had such high hopes, sadly we only had about a season and a half of meeting expectations.

Cutler had some insane pocket presence and escapability capability. If only the Bears could have seen games like this 3 out of every 4. Instead, it was more like 3 or 4 a season. He'd have a 275 yard, 3 TD no interception game, then a 130 yard, 0 TD 2 INT game, then a 79 yard, 1TD, 1 INT game.

Big Ben is Phillip Rivers with a better franchise. Almost elite but just not consistent enough to be on the level of Brees, Brady, Rodgers. He actually reminds me a lot of Fitzpatrick but with less terrible plays and he doesnt get paid to throw games on purpose. I'm a bigger fan of AB but I don't think a WR is worth that much money, if you want a top receiver without hurting your team, you have to draft him when you're ready for a playoff run and get those 4-5 cheap years

the trestman era was so funny because we were such frauds, especially the 2013 season. we had all this talent but went 8-8 and had the probably worst defense in bears history. that week 17 loss still haunts me but that ass kicking by philly was sickening lol.

Right?! They go into Pittsburgh and win convincingly to go 3-0, only to sputter out of control on defense and finish at .500. I feel like those first 3 weeks were payback play on how 2012 ended. You could tell the vets, especially on D, weren't buying Trestman as a leader or coach. They were pissed with how Lovie and Urlacher were treated.

Watching this game you get the misimpression Cutler would be the multiple Super Bowl winner and Roethlisberger would be out of the NFL by now. On too infrequent occasions when Cutler put it all together, he was capable of out-dueling any of the best QBs in the NFL.
