He began 2012 without a regular drive; then Trevor Carlin offered him a GP3 seat. He quickly showed his talent and speed - and was rewarded in May with a Red Bull Junior Team contract. Instantly competitive in the much bigger and faster World Series by Renault cars, Portugal's Antonio Felix da Costa nonethless continues to race GP3 with Carlin. In Hungary, on July 28/29, he made history by winning GP3 on both Saturday and Sunday. Peter Windsor spoke to Antonio prior to the Silverstone WSR race on August 25/26

As a portuguese F1 fan i enjoyed much this interview, a great talent in motorsport and a really pro motorsport reporter. Thanx both for the show

Well and 2012 ended even better than after the midway point. I'm not a Da Costa follower but I recall that he did pole at the first GP3 race and then made a jump-start somehow after all the pit issues and driver mistakes he finishes the year winning everything, incredible.

Good interview! It's incredible the lack of support (in numbers anyway) of this great Portuguese pilot by its own compatriots - really sad. But no worries AFC you're going to leave a big mark in top-level motorsport. Go AFC!

Yep sad thing really in Portugal in everything related to Motorsport... That being said things are slowly improving and AFC is getting a lot more (deserved) exposure.

Met Antonio just outside Monza on Friday evening & wished him good luck for the rest of the weekend. Clearly i'm not his lucky charm! Getting stuck in 6th gear in race 1 probably cost him the championship. Think he'll go a long way, give it a year or two and JEV will need to watch out!

He's a good racing driver but definitely not good enough for F1. He hasn't won a junior series in his last years and got beaten by the likes of Magnussen and Vandoorne who are both younger than him. And Daniil Kvyat won GP3 in his first season, something da Costa couldn't achieve in over two season in the series. He's good in DTM, but he's not F1 material.
