Yeah, Homelander's a terrifying psycho. But he's also funny, charming, infuriating, sad, pitiful and pathetic. And entertaining as hell. He's just a great character all around, well written and well acted. That's why audiences love him. Can't speak for the minority who truly believe he's the good guy here, but most reasonable viewers appreciate a well-rounded, fully fleshed out character even if he is a villain.

@@Swinara I think you'd be surprised. The same kind of people who cheer for Homelander in The Boys universe and share his 'values' also exist in the real world. Antony himself said in another interview that those fans who agree w Homelander are missing the point of the show.

I think the surprising fact Toni mentions (how people still like Homelander, I'm one of them 😬) is a testament to his absurd amount of talent and to how Antony Starr the actor and public persona is perceived by the fans/spectators.
