To be fair, the game hints that he's a veteran of a 20 year long World War, and that this world is in a moral dumpster fire (shows like Friendly Neighborhood, which is basically a Sesame Street/Muppets mashup, were deemed to be harming kids by teaching them to help others. That is the literal reason given in-universe).

@@omegaprime223 well not exaaactly by teaching to help others, but by saying things like 'put others before yourself' which, while noble, isnt a healthy mindset to have, specially not to a kid that might not understand how much one should put value in itself vs others that being said the world there is very bad indeed, specially cause its obvious by gordon's casualness to it (and the sesame/kermit references) that living puppets are simply normal, and that didnt stop them from being left all alone

That cardboard crayon locale has to be a reference to the Elmo’s World portions of Sesame Street, very similar aesthetic, and fitting since the game is essentially Resident Evil Sesame Street.

I absolutely love that the bad ending procs the S required ending XD I'm now imagining someone grinding days in Unfirendly, trying to get to the end with an S, and then someone later breaking it to them that it was possible to do it from the first section.

I was really hoping the combat would develop more throughout the game, as the idea and aesthetic was absolutely spot on. It's a little too reliant on the Resident Evil formula without evolving it in any way. Its pretty much the exact same throughout the entire experience.

If you use the free-cam mode cheat, you can essentially skip the entire game. You will still get an S+ rank as well as the achievement. I got it by accident and I wish I could get rid of it as I do not deserve it. As for the normal unfriendly achievement, you probably need to meet certain criteria like beating the final boss or something.

I really wish there was more of the Unfriendly Neighborhood. It really put the horror into this being survival horror but its gone just as quick as it came right at the very end. Would have loved for an entire segment dedicated after Gordon falls to a nightmare, mixing Gordon's fear of the puppets from his childhood and present with his trauma of the war and what happened. Going through twisting nightmarish recreations of the Studio as well as trenches and villages such before facing off against an amalgamation of all the nightmares. Dying in this segment gives a bad ending while surviving sees Gordon wake up in a bed in the Studio with Ricky and all the various puppets hes encountered and helped around him trying to help and care for him in return to show they really do want to be his friendly neighbors.

I didn't mean too but i got this achievement in 5 min. How you may ask... well hopefully they patched it but when you beat the game you unlock spectator mode and while using it I interacted with the elevator like you do at the start of the game. Issue was that instead of the normal cutscene with the elevator not being able to open. I got in the elevator and went up to the ceo office. I then left talked with sock puppet like you do after the elevator then went outside. Only to be at the ending. I got S rank and this achievement. All by complete accident.

You can get back into the truck and leave after talking to Ricky the first time. This will finish the game with an S rank unlocking the S rank achievement but not the beat the game achievement.
