Yes, and this is the body's way of trying to release tension up against the muscular holding patterns. I've come to understand that the best thing to do, and this is simple, not easy, bc of the thoughts about what's happening, is to allow the "spasms"...the body is trying to unconsciously release trauma, but the bodymind tenses against it due to, usually long-held muscular tensions (unconsciously held) that serve to protect us from the feelings that we learned were not o.k. to express. "The body keeps the Score". Many, especially with trauma/neglect in childhood, have a body that is trying to release these traumas (nature)...see Somatic Experiencing on KZbin...showing Gazelle, etc. after escaping from a Lion, "Shake it off"...literally, in order to return to parasympathetic "rest and digest" . All mammals, except humans do this. Just watch a dog after any "stress", they shake it off. We humans...😥. Hope this helps and wishing us all healing and well-being.

Sometimes I'm just sat at home, with nothing to 'make' me anxious, yet feel dizzy, nervous, on edge, sick etc... it's sooo frustrating because I know it is my anxiety but at the same time I have nothing to be anxious about! (Most likely it's because I have a lot of anxiety about my health as well as other triggers) On those days I just have to lie/curl up on my bed and watch some happy youtube videos to calm me down. It does suck though when you can't even 'have a day off' because the thing that makes you anxious is your own body :(

The reason for why you feel better when you eat/drink is because anxiety is affected by the sympathetic nervous system which is responsible for adrenaline release and fight or flight responses, when you eat or drink it stimulates your parasympathetic nervous system which controls rest and digest responses. That allows your body to realise that you're not in danger because in an emergency situation you would not be eating/drinking if that makes sense :) that's the anatomy and physiology side of it. I have anxiety as well and I'm really enjoying your series :) xx

Here are some of my symptoms, check if you feel identified with these, calm or anxious they come: Brain zaps or electric shocks top of the head, titunnus or ear ringing, Ear tapping. Eye brows spasms, tingling and numb face patches left side, muscle pains everywhere in the body specially neck, shoulders and arms. Chest pain spasms feel like pinching and last a couple seconds, randomly during the day. Joint pain, headaches, NEGATIVE thoughts all the time, nervous breathing, tingling hands, cold hands and feet, constantly checking sugar-blood pressure habits and random insomnia

The brain pains and zaps scare me. Tomorrow I’m going to a doctor because I feel like I have a serious brain disorder. My left arm feels weak, i get tinnitus in one year, and after head and face tingling. And weird sensations in my head and face. I feel like I have a serious illness. I also dissociate a lot lately, especially when I’m reading. The book feels like it’s not in my hands. Pray so nothing is wrong with me and all of this is just anxiety! Then that went away. Currently I am dealing with anxiety related IBS and its terrible. On top of that my back hurts, I know I have T3-T4 problem. I've been to a&e twice now because I recently started getting horrible anxiety symptoms, chest pressure, heart palpitations, left arm pain I thought I was having a heart attack and I'm constantly convinced i've got heart issues!!! They did tests and they all came back normal it's so hard feeling impending doom all the time I just can't take my mind off it :(
@mercysi26365 жыл бұрын
The impending doom sucks. It took someone I trust (who knows everything about the heart and sign&symptoms of certain illness btw) to tell me these symptoms are Not signaling a heart attack or heart problem. Anxiety makes you think illogically. You Know that its anxiety bc its coming and going constantly day by day. You are Okay and you are going to be fine. Its mental and its only fear. DON'T look up your symptoms on google. Schedule an appointment with a doctor to discuss your symptoms if you need to make sure you're okay. This is tricky bc some doctors are crap but try it. Don't be afraid to ask questions! As a matter of fact, write down all of your concerns before you even get to the doctor. That way you don't feel like you've forgotten to tell your doc anything when you leave.

lately i’ve been feeling more of the physical symptoms , i feel nauseous all the time, i either feel like i’m so full i’m gonna throw up, or so hungry even though i just ate. I find my self running to the bathroom every few minutes but i don’t have to use it. At night when i’m trying to sleep, i get very bad lower back pain, it hurts so much i can barely sleep. Sometimes my legs get numb and random parts of my body just start hurting. I’ve also experienced having really cold feet, i thought something was wrong but i found out it was linked to my terrible anxiety. I have chest pains, and i’m very sensitive to sudden noises, and bright lights. I have terrible heart palpitations and it feels like i’m having a heart attack. I feel sick all the time, even when i’m not having an anxious thoughts. It’s unfair because just when I get a break from my racing mind, it feels like i’m terribly sick. The worst part is, i’m only 12 years old. I’m not sure when this is gonna end, but anxiety has ruined my life.

Yes! I'm in the middle of school right now & I constantly have to learn about different pathologies. Its scary when you have to learn about all these diseases of the human body without (for some reason) being worried you might have one of them. I've been grounding myself and using an app for deep exercises and piece of mind. Also practicing inner peace through grounding myself and my thoughts. To clarify, I am Not an expert when it comes to meditation. I don't even like "traditional" meditation. However, I did some deep breathing excercises before a 40question pathology test today, and passed without getting anxiety problems during the test. It was very liberating. Im studying to become a massage therapist, so I am able to get massages in school sometimes. Massage helps tremendously!! (If you are comfortable with the therapist). If you are anxious to be in a room naked with only a sheet and blanket over you with someone you barely know, which some people are.. maybe try chair massage first. But the experience of a full body massage helps your body mentally and physically

Watching this video, some of them went away (like a constricting feeling in my throat)... Someone suggested that you can get 'fever in your face', and my face was feeling hot without a high temperature. This is just today. When I first had anxiety and didn't know what it was, I developed a number of symptoms consistent with whatever I'd look up on WEB MD.

I felt unwell a few weeks ago and rushed the GP convinced it was a nasty IBS flare up. I'd wake up feeling nauseous straight away which turned into shivering,shaking, feeling too hot or too cold and feeling faint or drained. GP was clueless but the next week when it remained I finally realized it was anxiety. I'd never felt that way before and it didn't feel like the symptoms of a panic attack, so I didn't realize for a while it was physiological. I was put on anti-depressants and suddenly the daily morning attacks disappeared. I still have episodes when I'm anxious that aren't as severe but I still feel unwell. I tell myself it's just my anxiety and then I feel ok again. Thank you for highlighting this in your video, it's very reassuring to know the symptoms are common with anxiety. If only GPs were as informed, it'd save patients a lot of distress to know it's psychological and they're not physically ill. Very distressing personally as I have health anxiety too!

@comradeiddads4534 жыл бұрын
I too get the pins and needles feeling. Its in between pain and itchy. Its triggered when my body temperature raises too quickly or when i pick up something heavy or run or if i got bummed into unexpectedly. It is also triggered when I get anxious. What I have found is if I go for a run and let it happen after maybe 5-10 minutes the sensation will go away and by doing this 1-2 times a week I no longer have the sensation. Although if I skip a week or 2 it will return. Also less stress helps the severity of the sensation.

You can try a keto (but be careful when adaptating), magnesium supplement is often recommended, eat whole foods, go out even when anxious, try to face your fear slowly. This helped me a lot. (Just want to share my experience).

Thank you for this video. Recently I’ve been having a lot of chest/lung pain along with heart palpitation. When this happens I usually try to take deep long breaths but it never seems to help and in some cases makes me feel worse/faint and makes me feel like I have no control and usually leads to panic attack. The only thing that’s helped is just letting it happen but it’s hard when I’m in class and don’t wanna leave because I wanna control it or stop it but I can’t.

I have intense muscle twitches/spasms whenever I’m around people. These happen whether or not I am mentally feeling anxious. I also will swallow when it’s unneeded. These two symptoms control my life. I won’t go around people that don’t know about my social anxiety because I cannot deal with the embarrassment. Also, the more it happens the more I think about it. The physical symptoms are the hardest for me. I never know if I have the symptoms because I am getting sick or if my anxiety is just acting up. The not knowing is torture, it's hard to stop worrying that it's more than anxiety. I always get very nauseous, my face turns very red and feels hot, and then I start sweating. Things that help me, taking my temperature to confirm I dont have a fever, take a warm bath to relax the muscles, and I take the anti nausea pills because getting sick is my biggest irrational fear. I try to accept the symptoms but I've actually been sick many times from it so I just try to relax and let the medications work.

Does anyone experience muscle pain/stiffness and/or pain down the spine with electrical tingling. I know it sounds weird but sometimes it feels as if I have pinched or damage nerves but they are fine. If anyone can give me tips on how to cope with this I would really appreciate it. Best of health to everyone!
@joser831114 жыл бұрын
@Badrul Zaman So far my test came back normal. I think there is a big correlation spine and electric shock feeling with anxiety. Although I feel less anxious, I still experience the pain, but I noticed it's less when I'm not as anxious. I too feel my heart weak when extremely anxious and the spine pain goes up. So yea, I believe anxiety can cause these symptoms. Have your doctor check your heart and get some closure so you dont have to worry about that horrible weak heart feeling. Hang in there and thanks for responding.
@joser831114 жыл бұрын
@Badrul Zaman I also noticed that my back pain hurts much more or sometimes starts hurting while bending foward. The pain for me also attacks my muscles and causes fatigue which then starts or amps my anxiety. Walking, relaxation, and rest tends to help a bit. Also I purchased the buddy massager trigger points to be able to massage the back area. I agree with you, good posture also helps so I try not to slouch. Months back I was very active and these pains stiff my body alot, so I'm taking baby steps. And although I do believe anxiety and pain are well connected, I suggest you get an x-ray or see a Chiropractor just to be sure you dont have an injury back there. If things are clear, then it might be anxiety and that might allow you to relax. If I find a solution for this pain, I'll be sure to share it to you.

Does anyone else weird sensations on face?
@Eric-tj3tg4 жыл бұрын
Yes. I recall OSHO speaking on this. "Never fake your facial expressions. You'll screw up the whole mechanism. If you are experiencing anger, let it show. It is dangerous, because it "triggers"(my word) others, but if you fake it, you'll ruin the whole system. When you authentically smile, it won't work, etc." I feel much in the face, and hope that all of that fake facial shit is releasing. Funny, when I look at older pics, nobody is forcing a smile. The face naturally, and th us universally, expresses our felt emotions. Our parents, etc., tell us to put on a happy face. Not anymore, unless smiling is naturally on this face. Trust the facial muscles to do what they will my friend. All of the years of wearing "the mask", take a toll, and the release, a while. Hang in there...I know it's hard, but perhaps this rant will help you to know that it is supposed to be happening, and eliminate some of the fear. The joys of this healing journey just go on and on. Peace.

I have the same experience and have recently been diagnosed with anxiety. Its triggered by a rise in body temperature and body movement. For 8 months I too could not be myself because I didn't want my temperature to rise and deal with the sensation. I had to go to school every day and I had gone from a hyper and talkative person to the kid that just sat there. After looking for months I found a ty comment that said "if you go for a run and let the sensation happen and let it hit you hard it will slowly dissipate" so I did it and within 10 minutes it went away and for the first time in months I had relief. I repeated it everyday and within 4 days it completely went away. Depending on its severity and frequency I do this 1-2 times a week and now I'm able to function like normal. I hope this will help you or anyone who has to suffer from this.
