One of the hardest things for me (I was diagnosed with General Anxiety Disorder years ago) is always being in the moment with the anxiety symptom, but it's also the most healing this. When I get a mild panic attack, it's hard to sit with it and observe it, but if I can go even 1 minute with my eyes closed and allow myself to lean into it, it's like magic sometimes, I can watch it float by. Not all the time, but when it happens it's encouraging. Mindfulness helps with that. I like the little book 30 Days to Reduce Anxiety by Harper Daniels for such things.

Yes! I agree. Leaning into the panic, observing it, feeling it wash over you and subside. This is what helps people to heal from panic disorder.

I found something. Take ashwagandha powder 500mg daily. 600mg max. 500 mg is like 1/4tsp. You can eat it with honey and then drink warm milk or take it with hot water after mixing. After 6 weeks take a break. And again

Thank you so much for your understanding.....I have panic disorder that remits and relapses .... life seems awful panicking and worrying about when the next attack will occur.....it has changed the course of my life and led to deep depression at times.....I am so grateful for the times it remits and I can enjoy life.... It can be so debilitating and cause great angst that chips away at things I want to do but can't.......I try to tell myself accept it....I never asked for it but must do my best with it...... very complicated....I thank you for your videos and understanding so very much🌹 Te

I think I had the same thing last night....tremors and shaking went on for some time and it was difficult to even hold a glass of water or talk. My husband gave me one if my adivan tablets and eventually it disappeared and I was able to sleep. I do not want to take medication....but, it certainly revealed to me that it was anxiety and not other perceived health issues.

I had the same experience try and do something healthy for yourself for me it was trying to be a relationship with my lord and savior Jesus Christ and praying about my anxiety and depression. I would highly recommend you can also close your eyes and think about what you are thankful for and try to find something that will improve your physical health like exercise a lot of times anxiety can be caused by shortness of breath and fatigue being in better shape can eliminate that I hope this helps

Thank you always for your helpful and insightful videos. Have you ever talked about Roemheld syndrome? I suspect that's what I have (and maybe many more that doesn't know it) is a gastro-cardiac illness (mostly gastro in reality) so the ECG says everything is OK but the heart still acting weird
@PaigePradkoTherapy
@PaigePradkoTherapy 5 ай бұрын
Digestive issues like GERD can cause cardiac sensations that are typically benign and not harmful. I have not heard of Roemheld syndrome before. Although it sounds like it is a collection of familiar symptoms. It can help to know that something is digestion related even though you may feel sensations in your heart.

Dr. Pradko, I experience a tight face and head in moments of high anxiety; when highly anxious, I feel the muscles of my face and head get so tight. What techniques or approach should I apply when feeling these tight sensations on my face and head? Your channel is amazing!
@PaigePradkoTherapy
@PaigePradkoTherapy 5 ай бұрын
What you are experiencing is just a result of the blood flow changes and muscle tension during fight or flight. You may want to try asking your anxiety to make your face tighter, and really try on purpose to encourage your anxiety to make it as tight as possible and really bring it on. We always do the opposite to treat anxiety.

It sounds like high levels of adrenaline likely due to stress and anxiety. If I were experiencing this, I would make sure that I was doing lots of physical activity like taking long walks in nature during the day. Even if you are feeling tired, you may need to find ways to burn off adrenaline and cortisol.

It’s hard to say what that is. Many people naturally have a surge of adrenaline and cortisol in the morning. Possibly it is a natural process to help us wake up.

It can be something in your sleep posture or neck. There is a chiropractor in Ft Myers FL who did a video about this. I get vibration in my head early morning, once it happened at 3am and woke me up. The video said to not sleep with your face downward, keep your face up if you sleep on your side.

I have horrible health anxiety I always think a kidney is failing or my brain is bleeding and also some unresolved trauma from a past abusive relationship & my childhood. I grew up an extreme germapbobe and I have adhd and OCD. Crazy in my mind I know it’s all okay but my body is constantly freaking out, for the last few weeks it feels like my brain has been on FIRE… I thought it was bleeding but after doing research I think it’s from anxiety. Or it feels like my head is vibrating sometimes I always think imma gonna die!!! I’m a new mom first time and single with a one month old so it’s a lot of hidden anxiety I refuse to see I tend to avoid thinking about anxieties but they are taking over my body! What about the real twitching. Seems like you didn’t really address that. I’ve been having twitching problems for the past three years in different spots that go on day after day for months and it will abruptly stop. And no more. Then another spot will flare up and will twitch nonstop. Now I’m dealing with a spot that has been twitching since last summer. I’ve been to a neurologist and a neurosurgeon, and all they have done is ordered MRIs on the brain and the spine, even though the problem is on the shoulder, and given me drugs to alleviate the twitching. Sometimes it will lessen the severity, sometimes not. I’ve been interested in mind-body integration and expanding consciousness for many years, and this just boggles my mind. It’s like my body has developed a mind of its own, and I have no control over it. I also have had pretty bad tinnitus for over three decades, which doesn’t help. Short of a morphine drip, I don’t know what else could be done to remove this torture, mentally and physically. Sometimes it just drives me to the edge, and I would like to just exit this body for a few days, or a few years. Anything to get beyond this. 🥺
