Anycubic Kossel Linear Plus build - Timelapse

Sally and I built a Delta 3D printer.
Here's 8 hours or so of build time compressed into a couple of minutes
These printers are really good, and amazingly cheap.
We've made a few modifications along the way, including a significant revamp of the firmwarwe. Let me know if you'd like any details.
It's now been printing pretty much continuously for the last few days, with very few hitches.
If you want to get into delta printers then buy yourself one of these. Now! :)

As usual with any new 3D printer build, it is currently busy printing upgrades and modifications for itself. I'm loving the delta style though, it's a totally different beast to the Cartesian printers I'm used to - seems a lot faster too, especially since I trashed the original firmware and compiled a custom firmware of my own! :)

Looks like 8 hours well spent to me. I don't really care that much for 3D printing but building stuff (and pulling stuff apart) is fun.

It seems that a lot of people who get into 3D printers just do it for the novelty value, and then spend most of their time printing plastic tat. I find 3D printers to be brilliant for prototyping one-off stuff that would be fiddly and expensive to do by other means. This particular printer's main function, once it's properly modded and behaving well, will be for designing some interesting new styles of organ pipes, for a certain 'awesome' project! :)
