Hopefully you’ll see this, Everyone is always talking about tall people, what about women planches (since a body mass of men’s is in chest and body mass of women is in waist). Can every women achieve a full, or straddle planche? Or it depends or specific physique since physically might be not possible to achieve that much of the lean in arms (especially talking about full)?
@DunnCarr Жыл бұрын
It may be harder but never impossible
@lock2821 Жыл бұрын
@@photoshooter4790I don't think it's possible for women to achieve full planche, but straddle is achievable. Also men center of mass is located at the navel while women center of masse is 8 to 15% lower, close to the pelvic region. So the center of mass being at the chest for men is complete misinformation

I think this video is gold . I started doing calisthenics 4-5 years ago with my goal in mind being the planche . Im 186cm tall and I can confidently say that I always saw progress as slow as that was and what kept me from going were injuries every single time from not enough muscle on the arms probably and/or conditioning of the wrists/ elbows .

I've been doing calisthenics for almost 4 years now, focusing on hypertrophy, and I feel confident that now is the rigth time to start learning some skills like front lever, muscle up and handstand push-ups, (also planche, but only after I've learned those 3). Im nearly 2m tall. I have trained for the planche since 3 years and i am still on straddle or one leg Planche. Since i started 2 watch ur Videos and learning how 2 train for skills. also mainly from my trainship as a Trainer at a gym. I have gained so much more progress by learning from these 2 sorces and im thankful 2 have u bro. Obv i did many misstakes as a flying giant. Im currently switching btw 2 methods. 80- 100% intensity Maximum strength training on skills 2 progress there and Hypertrophie for building Muscle size where i use mostly dynamics skills (planche push up 8-12 and then handstand push up 8-12 and then dips 8-15 for push) with an intensitity of 70-80%.U may ask now why would he splitt 2 methods and not do both at one Training over and over(never again). Bec u need 2 rest ur joints and tendions. If i would take both always in my whole life routine. I would get injured hardcore for my tall body. That why i split Hypertrophie and Maximum strength training 2 progress. And yes i switch btw. 80% Maximum strength and 20% Hypertrophie Training (2 gain progress at skills) and 80% Hypertrophie and 20% skills for healing joints and tandions. I always switch btw those methods 2 get more progress and anti injure.

@TheJackedVegan11 ай бұрын
There is no one answer here, it depends what stage in your journey you’re in that dictates what you focus on. More muscle will make you stronger but training strength specifically is your main goal when you’ve got a good enough base but hypertrophy will always help you get stronger

Make the tendon video I think I have the basic strength, I start training specifically for planche strength and I felt too much tension on my elbow and not in my shoulder so I think I lack the straight arm strength and tendon conditioning because after that my biceps were sore and my elbow joint felt like “fatigue"
@tiagopiresabud4154 Жыл бұрын
Hey Jake! Great video as always! I have a question about this topic. I've been focusing on statics for various months (more than 6 months), and currently I can hold good form of straddle planche and front lever. I have a good base of basics, and I always do some sets of pullups/rows and dips/hspu/pushups within the workouts, but I'd say that I do 80% statics. Sometimes I add a deload week to recover from the stress. At the moment, because I'm getting fatigue and hitting a plateau, I was thinking on doing a periodization focusing on basics/weighted calisthenics for a couple of months. But at the same time, I know it isn't that specific to improve my statics, which is my goal at the moment. Maybe doing 80% weighted calisthenics, with a few static holds at the beggining. What's your thoughts on this? Is it a good idea to reduce the static trainning? Thanks!
@zwartekobra Жыл бұрын
Interesting question....
@TheJackedVegan Жыл бұрын
This is what I would do: 1. Try to figure out why I am plateauing. Is it because I’m doing too much or too little? Or not enough of the right exercise? 2. If I feel all of those are what they should be then this is when I would consider switching back to 80% hypertrophy especially if I want to gain more muscle a little faster Ultimately there isn’t one right answer but figuring out way may be most optimal

Rest and regression. & honest life assessment. Take 5 days to a couple weeks to recover fully (age/size/level/etc dependent).. regress back a few steps and then rebuild and surpass. (We don’t lose as much as we may think - sometimes it’s a must!) Life stress, lifestyle (engagements etc), mental fatigue (invisible), real rest/good sleep, proper nutrition and fasting all play large parts too! Breath work, meditation and visualisation can be very useful if done well. Slow and controlled, patience, acceptance, discipline.. usually the key players for growth. Keep grinding G
@JamieVegan8 Жыл бұрын
Answer to your question: I don't know! I certainly don't think easily. For some people it might not be doable. I put basic strength training on the back shelf to focus on static skills but I am returning to them now by upping my volume of muscle ups, tuck planche pushups, front lever type pullups etc. I also learned the hard way the importance of connective tissues and do band work every day now even days off. Great video TJV-- you are really upping your game! BTW I always see back lever labelled as a beginner or easy skill but I don't think that is true, in particular the supinated type. I saw interview with Hristov on Gornation and he said he has a weak back lever!

How long have you been doing calisthenics?
@gengar180-nh4zs9 ай бұрын
I'm probably overthinking this, and the answer is simpler than I thought, but I'll ask anyway. How should I incorporate progression skills? I have mainly been doing clisthenics for hypertrophy and strength but not really for progression skills like the front lever, for example, mainly because I don't know when it would be a good time to start trying them out and how to incorporate them into my workout routine.
@gengar180-nh4zs9 ай бұрын
currently ive been doing calisthenics for a few months now and ive been doing weighted calisthenics for about 3 or 4 months so id say im like between intermediate to semi advance when it comes to just workout for hypertrophy and strength gains
