Thanks for this great info. I grew broccili for the first time this winter. I wasn't sure what was going to happen because I live on the beach in Fort Morgan, Alabama on the Gulf of Mexico. I thought the salt in the air might have a negative effect but they grew perfectly. I also eat the leaves. Will be using your tips next year. Now I'm growing tomatoes, peppers and okra, everything in containers and is growing well so far. Hope the hurricanes pass us up this year. Love your channel.

I grew it once last year. After you cut the main head 4 more heads sprout out. They won't be as big as the main one but they will still be decent size. Once you cut those, 8 even smaller heads will grow. This was my experience. I didn't use anything in them and they came out perfect. Only issue I had was the earwigs liked hanging out in then so I had to clean them out. My 3 yr old watched me at the time and ever since he inspects any vegetables he's given. He thinks there's bugs living in then lol

I am also going to try and grow snap peas and carrots in containers. We will see how well this turns out and if we get a frost I will cover with plastic sheeting and form a mini greenhouse.

Hi James! I love seeing the progression in your garden! It’s becoming so beautiful.🌳🌱🥦😍 I have a question… How long did it take your grapes to grow tall enough so they grow on the top of the arbor? I just planted some this year and I have an arbor over my terrace which is pretty high. I think it’s a bit higher than yours.🍇🍇🍇🍇😋

Hi I love your channel! I'm also doing Back to Eden style gardening and am looking into growing Romanesco Italia broccoli. I heard that there are certain things to do in order to get the heads to form if grown in an area that gets harsh winters (I'm growing in Michigan). As you are also growing in a colder climate, and back to eden style, I was wondering if you've ever grown that type of broccoli and if you have do you have any advice on how to get it to form a head? Thank You!!

im pretty sure migardener said its not the heat necessarily but a rapid warm up that will cause them to bolt so if your spring is short waiting until it heats up a bit might work better to prevent bolting.

I think this one comes with experience and research. I'm here on the Oregon coast where there's not enough heat to fully ripen some fruits. Banana slugs(The Enemy), new compost problems, and too much watering as well as too much moisture. Keep growing, in all ways. The plants will let you know they need something, then it's up to you to provide.
