Lest We Forget ANZAC day 2024 decided to chased now 109 year old engine 224 at Steamranger on the Cockle train first chase since New years and worth it although it rained and the weather played part in shots it was fun to do. Highlights new spots in Port elliot and Goolwa. #southaustralia #steamranger #2024 #steam

When I was a kid in the 50s it was either a RX or F class at the head of the train. Then the red hens became a lot more dominant. I used to go up and see the 500 class steam loco and the 700s and 710 and 720s either on the hills line or freights out to the north.

Would of been a awesome time then sadly only SAR engines are Pichi ri hi has a few and Steamranger this it

My Grandfather was a fireman on 207 and he used to take us down to the steam loco grave yard I think it was at Islington. It was 60 plus years ago now.

@cat793cdumpy wow well the T at Pichi Richi is now going through a overhaul after 20 years out of service and will be back in a few years. But thanks for you comments and information
