AO Tennis 2 Is it Any Good? Yes it is Just as Good as the Original AO International Tennis title...ALMOST EXACTLY.
AO Tennis 2 career mode has a much better more fleshed out Career Mode experience & AO Tennis 2 Gameplay is the same, bar some new shots and injuries.
Now Injuries in AO Tennis 2 only seem to occur after play, not during, and no matter how many injuries you sustain in a match nothing seems to change...at all?

It took me three days intense playing to better. I’m loving it. I play amateur level. It’s hard. Steep learning curves but it’s worth it.

I sunk many hours into the first on XBOX and I picked this up on Switch for a portable play... then on PC as I saw the same deal on cd keys you did. I'm enjoying both versions (Switch is a big downgrade in docked mode though)... but as you say, had I picked this up full price on XBOX where I have the original, I would probably feel a bit let down as 'in match' gameplay is pretty similar.

has anyone noticed that the ball is very slow with some matches then super fast with others... my ball speed is slow and my appointment usually is super fast i don't understand that??? you can go to settings and adjust the game speeds but it doesnt seem to make a difference...

Thank you very much for the gameplay. I bought the game because of your review (since you clearly know a lot about the game). I've never played AO Tennis, bought it yesterday. I've been looking for some tips and tricks on how to play better (I'm trying to sort out most of the stuff, but sure helps to get some tips from someone familiar with the game), but I found none. If you have the time and will to make a better tutorial, it would be great! Thanks anyway for the review!

If you want to play the best tennis game don't waste your time. You can still play Top Spin 4 online on ps3 and xbox 360 in 2020! Player Match, the online exhibition mode still works!

Hi Carl, sorry missed this comment. It's a great game, but it has some `gaps` in both animation and depth. For example the career is amazing, but shallow and nothing really means anything. Sim uk i am a Tennis video game veteran and i have watched some of your critical reviews on various games and the Snooker 19 was spot on and i brought snooker 19 and it is put on the shelve and never played,poor game no career mode.. AO Tennis is game that i feel is the best tennis game ever made ! The reason why i put AO Tennis at my top is because of the player AI it is the best AI i have ever played in my 20 years of playing tennis video games and i play the game on Pro difficulty on a PS4 not a PC.

My only real gripe with AOT2 is the missing animations which cause AI and player to miss shots that they should get with ease.

Just a question. I know in the original AO you couldn't create a serve & volley CPU Player that would actually serve & volley when being controlled by the CPU. Could you tell me if they fixed this issue? I always hated playing against john McEnroe or pat Rafter and them just play from the baseline. And I'm sorry but I'm so glad they took out that arcade style unrealistic diving. No one in simulation tennis dives on hard courts unless your name is boris Becker. Hated that diving.

lol not sure you're going to like what have have replaced it with...I think what you're asking is; can you create a player with a personality/style of play. I'll be honest, I haven't created a player, so I cannot be certain, but having played with and or against a number of players I can say that there does appear to be different shot styles types (strengths and weaknesses) but if you were asking if they would favour a certain collection of shot types over another I would probably have to say no not really.

I Do actually enjoy playing AOT2, but as I have shown it does have a few noticeable issues. The good Tennis moments are extremely good, and for £20 if you don't have a Tennis game already it is a decent buy (There is a link in the description). Unfortunately I cannot afford to buy every game to review, so I hope I might be able to get a review copy for Full Ace Tennis Simulator and maybe do a comparrison next week. BUT...AOT2 is NOT terrible, it just hasn't evolved in places I think it should have...maybe give it a month and see what patches have been released; because the good bits are ACE!

Users get very bored with cut scenes quickly. Yet developers still think they need them, at the expense of what you see here, which is the motion of the players, rackets and balls are really quite jerky and need attention. There seems to be no attempt to smooth out the change of directions. Hence this game looks on this evidence to be lacking in believable motion. I can't see any advance on some quite decent tennis games from many years ago.

I've yet to find the perfect tennis game, AOT2 on sale is a worthy addition if played on the hardest settings.

Really struggling against CPU in grandslam difficulty. What most annoying the powerful slice shot they hit . How ?? Unforced errors in this game are Insane . The movement and reactions are frustrating 😤. The players physics in courts like sliding on hard and clays courts its not there . The volley plays are pathetic . If CPU hit dropshot thats it your screwed mate .

@@jeremyc9593 Less than.05% I will bet! I have 3 4K TV's but I don't, since it's a pain in the butt and most gamers use their 144Hz monitors at a desk. (TV's only run @ 60Hz).

@@tigerbalm666 I know what you mean... it goes beyond mouse and keyboard vs controller for me - even the room I play in can affect how I enjoy the game I'm playing... some games feel right sitting in an armchair / big TV, others feel better sat at a desk with uw monitor As the pc is also a work / multimedia editing set up, it just makes it more practical for that to be in the office and have a decent console under the TV downstairs.
