You guys didn't answer the question about external power source except to say usb port on tv may not have enough power. What we want to know is if it helps the cable with video audio and the ddc data? Or just go with cables that use hdmi port's pwr. And at what distance do we need to start using external power? Finally, does the external power source do anything to help the slower rise times that increased as distance increased? I would think the fiber itself would eliminate rise time issues. You didn't really go into detail other than say the Phillips spec was not being adhered to. Thx

On this issue, external power supply is usually not required. Some time ago we sent a 200M HDMI AOC to our customer, and our customer said that everything works well and there is no problem of insufficient power supply. If you want any further information, you can contact me. Thanks.
