Bumped my psi from 1750 to 2000psi on my bx23s with 114 hours. huge difference! dont mind my mindless rambling.

Thank you, I had about had it with the tractor. Lifted basically nothing so ready to sell. Now the tractor has another chance to redeem itself. But have also dealt with idiots at the Kubota dealership. Great Video

Thanks for the shout out, My father John Bifaro saw this video and sent it to me. Great video buddy, nice to see a real world test.. unfortunately it was approaching winter when I did my pressure increase video so there wasn’t much I could do but use the crane scale to show the differences so it’s nice to see the difference lifting a nice stack of wood like you did. I know the “Safety police” get all over guys who do this but like we said as long as you use your head, have proper rear ballast, and are mindful to the damage you “could” potentially do to your tractor then you shouldn’t have any issues. IMO it’s worth the risk for those guys who work smart and need the extra lift like you and I 👍🏻

No problem man, I enjoy your videos alot! You certainly put into perspective what these little machines are capable of! Your video was certainly helpful in showing what a difference those shims make and especially showing numbers! But yeah I got alot of crap on facebook pages about adding shims and how dangerous it is for the machine... if you know what you're doing and know your limitations everything will be alright!

One gentlman told me that a typical IBC ontainer can hold 1/3 cord of wood which would approx 1600 pounds, a bit much for a BX tractor. Good luck. I am trying to obtain the same equipt you now have. GR

depends on the type of wood (light pine vs dense locust) and how it is arranged (stacked vs thrown in randomly)

A bit off topic but I frequently load and carry much more than my 23s can lift. While the pallet is off the ground 10-12 inches, I load up the firewood pretty high. Put the tractor in 4 wheel drive and low speed and I can move the load no problem. Once you put it down, that’s it.

My problem is that I do not have counter weight on the back of mine. Counter weight is key if you are swimming in my opinion
@profdave28612 жыл бұрын
With that extra lift on your little BX, you are going to have to be very careful not to bend the loader frame or damage your front axle. You’re right the very top limit for that unit.

I did one with bale forks, and a skeleton carrier, 82#, get over 500 lift now.
@craigguinn54232 жыл бұрын
You can probably get down to about 35# just hanging the bale spears off the QA mount. I used 2” tube and a 45 hanger cut at the top

I am in the same situation. Where did you get the hydraulic pressure gauge or the parts to assemble? Thanks.

My bx23s easily lifts a pallet full of firewood because I made very light forks for it. You are using very heavy forks made for a real tractor, which dramatically reduces your tractor’s lift capacity.

When you break it, i hope you wont cry to hard when kubota says, NOPE, you tampered with it, now you`re on your own. There`s good reason`s why the kubota factory set the pressure at MAX 1750psi on these little SUB-COMPACT tractors. Now that you`ve gone above the factory spec for pressure, you`ll tax the hell out of the boom arms and cylinders. Good Luck!

Watch Biff equipment KZbin channel. The dude raised his kubota bx psi pressure to 2400. His tractor is running just fine and he uses it for a lot of projects. It’s is a chance your taking but if your smart about it you can make it last.
@Redneck_Ed Жыл бұрын
@@avramisnegirev1827 Biff mentioned in his shim video that if he breaks it, he can fix it, so he didn't really care. His money, his decision. Sure enough he later had to do work on his steering cylinder brackets, tie rods, and also front axle seals. I don't think anyone expects the HST or hydraulic cylinders to explode at 2000 psi. The bigger issue is accelerated wear and breaking/bending stuff. All of those front end parts that Biff had to work on are wear parts that will eventually need repaired or replaced. Bump your PSI and replace every 2 years or keep factory PSI and replace it all at 6 or 8 years. The other aspect is safety, but really I'd say that if you are a dangerous operator at 1750 PSI, then you are also dangerous at 2000 PSI. You can tax these tractors hard and bend/break stuff at 1750 PSI too. I guess overall I'm trying to agree with you, but provide a little more in the way of expected wear and tear acceleration due in part to the PSI increase.

There is a greater chance of bending or breaking something by ramming into something, or by trying to pull or be pulled by a misplaced attachment point, than by increasing hydraulic pressure, especially under 3,000psi. Factory 'specs' are low for liability reasons and to reduce the chance of any Warranty work before it expires. It has nothing to do with the capability of the machine.

Went to your channel to check for any updates. Noticed no followup and you now have a B-series. Guessing the BX just wasn't doing the job for you.

The BX was a great machine but the b2301 is the machine I should have bought in the first place. HP wise it was enough but I needed loader lift power more so than anything

How much difference does it do on the backhoe digging power?

Quite a bit it seemed like! Noticed it alot on breakout force when ripping tree roots out.

Does it increase the backhoe pressure too?

Ide imagine so since the whole tractor runs off of one pump. It certainly does seem more powerful when using the backhoe too

Spec is 1790-1850. Guess you don’t mind damaging your tractor.
@markcole6475 Жыл бұрын
Hydraulic specs are many times factored in for safety features! People attempting to lift heavy objects that will cause the back end to lift off the ground! Many times first time tractor buyers don’t think to add ballast ….which is what these types of tractors are advertised for! Hobby farmers and someone with small acreage to maintain! I’ve had a few older tractors and those hydraulics would lift the back end with ease and were dangerous if you weren’t careful and didn’t add ballast. Adding a couple hundred psi shouldn’t hurt anything ! Hoses are typically rated to 3000 psi
@ya472 Жыл бұрын
You are an expert, in something? Operator spec isn't for Warranty or breaking something, it is to protect Kubota from idiot operators. My little 110 volt electric wood splitter operates at 2200psi. Hoses and equipment are minimum rated at 3,000 psi with a 6,000psi safety factor. At worse, one might bend a FEL or backhoe arm.

Does it void warranty?
@01CumminsWelder2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately it does but luckily raising it only a small bit, hardly increases risk for any damage. Especially if you're smart with how you use your equipment
@ya472 Жыл бұрын
@@01CumminsWelder Where did you get information that the Warranty is void? If some Kubota rep told you that, they were lying. Get them to show you in writing. Besides, Warranty ONLY covers defects and if Kubota can get away with it, they will cite Operator Abuse. KTAC is insurance, not Warranty.
