@@sassyradish9177 and I think somehow along the way, mnet changed their scenario after they saw how audiences reacted to the way btob carried themselves and the show's atmosphere. The "war" that they initially offered as the main concept changed considerably. No unnecessary drama, no provocative material for fanwar, no fierce competition. Eunkwang aimed for Familyhood even as early as in the 1st epi. And it sold out just as good.

I think some people forget BtoB is 3rd Gen same as iKon, Seventeen, Monsta X, and others. Also, Peniel was a trainee at JYPE before transferring to CubeE. So he knows some Stray Kids members during his time in JYPE.

Peniel's sociability (and the way he approached the younger idols in a friendly manner) played a pivotal part in their great teamwork (you can see how comfortable they are with Peniel, the way they are imitating the "oh, my eokkae~" despite Peniel being a senior to them. He literally erased his sunbae title for the kids). Everyone was comfortable that caused them to have a strong foundation of trust with each other. I'm both a fan of BtoB and iKON (maybe im leaned to iKON more since I'moriginally a YG fan), and I think this was the part iKON wasn't able to overcome during KINGDOM. Eunkwang and Peniel always try their best to make the people around them feel comfortable (they even lighten the atmosphere from everyone) while iKON was always awkward with the others while keeping their distance (it feels like they are guarded, maybe because they lost their confidence and majority weren't sociable to begin with)

Not only iKON, but SF9 were quite withdrawn too. We got some wholesome moments but it was nowhere near as impactful as Mayfly. It's kay tho, I love them all to death anyway. 💜💜

@@zuzannabrzeszczak1578 yes, i think it's one is more like a herd of introverts while mayfly is a group of extroverts and mood makers (plus skz and ateez are close in terms of age and some of the members are friends too)

I think from the begin there was such a huge difference in how the teams were around each other. Mayfly basically were instant friends, with teasing, crackhead behavior and so on. I think also all three teams of Mayfly don't give two cents about their idol image. So they put a bunch of crackheads together, connection activated. Also BtoB take themselves not serious at all, that's why do not really are into the sunbae agenda. Also, while most of Ateez is older (which would give them honorics in Korean society?) they are the last to début, so they have to give SKZ the honorics which is somewhat hilarious. Overall they just put the right people together for Mayfly and there are so many different reasons why it worked out the way it did.
