You did not do the normalization, could you let me know the reason?

The Normalization is performed using a software extension which is only available in LabChart and associated with the specific equipment we use. We edited out of the video as in the practical class we do not perform that procedure. In reality if the tissue is pretensioned to about 10-15 mN this is the correct range for this tissue

What's the difference between normalization and calibration

Calibration is where you set up the equipment to a standardized unit to make sure your read out meets that of a known weight/force (i.e. you set your voltage output to that created by a known force). Normalization is stretching the tissue to a calculated level of force that would be equivalent to 90% of the pressure experience in vivo.
