RE: Eagle and Vision I'm mostly interested in the Vision because I'm going for a silver and white look in my build, but information on any difference in the acoustics of the cards would be appreciated. I'm guessing that there's none, and the cards are just cosmetically different, but confirmation would be nice. I may even get the Aorus Master, but I might have to pipe out the card that I've been running in the 4th slot on my mATX motherboard.

So to conclude this we have the Aorus Master at $850 with 2x8 power connectors, the Aorus Xtreme with 3x8 power connectors at something way above $850 with the same performance than a Gigabyte Gaming OC (2x8 power connectors) at $750. Where's the difference between all of them in terms of performance? Is it that the Xtreme has more room for overclock than the Master and the Master has more room than Gaming OC? Are both Aorus cooler than the Gaming OC? Is the price difference only explained by rgb and led screens?

Hi Gear Seekers, I am currently buying parts to build a PC, I have currently a msi 2070 super gaming x trio Corsair rgb ram. I want to get the msi x570 tomahawk WiFi mobo. My issue is that I want the new ryzen 5900x but I currently do not have a ryzen cpu processor so would the x570 be compatible with the 5900 both out of the box? I cannot find the definite answer to this anywhere any help from anyone is helpful?

Probably not going to revisit this card. It's just not that interesting. The 3080s are just not that interesting when it comes to squeezing extra performance. They become an unstable mess really easily. All these additional BIOS updates don't actually help with performance that much. All it does is make your PC pull more power from the wall with minuscule improvements.

Put them both together if that is easier for you. I wouldn't expect too much difference since there isn't a ton of difference between 3080 AIB cards. Comparing them to each other and adding them into the graphs you had for this video makes sense.

About the pricing in USD, the current signup sheet that was open on Oct. 16th for the Aorus Xtreme RTX 3080 has Aorus setting the MSRP at $900 for those that received a confirmation email, but that may just be an early bird thing because that signup sheet was for some of the first cards released in the US.

I agree with the folks saying the 2000 series cards had a cooler design, but I guess it's not that big of a deal. The display is certainly overkill, but I do appreciate being able to have a display that shows the GPU temp without an AIO that has a built-in display and without needing to rely on a program that displays temps on my monitor all the time. For the price, that's just fitting to be included. Performance wise, these 3080s are all good enough for me, but I sure won't be capable of buying one so I just make do with a Gear Seekers video. 😌

I have same card. I run the stock oc clock option on card and get dev error 6068 clock ran to 2070 mhz and turned red then crashed. If I run silent lower clock and it’s fine. Any ideas. 850 w Corsair unit

Had the same probleme initially. I made the mistake that I connected 2 power connections by a daisy chain, after I replaced the daisy chain with two single cables into seperate rails no problems anymore.

I have the 3080 master version. It’s really nice card, the screen is really useful and the default animations are so cute! And yes the temps are maintained cool while gaming and the fans are so silent I can’t actually hear anything. Definitely recommends to anyone looking for GPU with max cooling and silence. I’m not an overclocker so can’t say anything in this department.

Mine has very subtle coil wine when on low load, menus in games etc None when gaming or on desktop though It seems to be bit of a lottery with all brands, some don't have any, others squeal like a stuck pig

Currently iGame seems to be topping Xtreme with performance (although currently all 3080 is same with 1-2 fps difference in games only so performance is not as important) and having bigger LCD size and capability of going vertical or horizontal.

Went to micro center yesterday just to see if they had anything i kid you not they had a wall of gpus in stock I got the second revision of the aorus rtx3080 master for my first pc build that I should be starting in a few weeks 5000d airflow case and 5800x cpu was going to spring for the 5900x but I don’t think I need all of that right now

I wish reviewers would cover RGB segments more in-depth. Maybe like a B-roll of the card lit up from all angles. Especially, a shot from looking down on the PC from the side, where you can see the backplate and the top side of the card, when mounted normally in a vertical case with tempered glass window. Let's face it, the reason we buy these "premium" cards is for the aesthetics also aside from thermals, acoustics and 1-3% performance increase over "budget" cards. That is a massive heatsink, though.

This card is not silent when in a case On an open test bench hitting only 62deg of coarse it's quiet but at 76deg in my case it makes a fair amount of noise. My case is a Lian Li 011 dynamic with 9 fans Also there is some coil wine, it's not loud but can definitely hear it at times Other then that great card and mine performs a little better then the results on this vid. There is a lot of people on forums getting coil wine with all brands especially founders. It's just something we have to accept with 30series apparently.

Got the ROG Strix 3090 delivered, was annoyed by the coil whine, saw this video, sent the Strix back and ordered the Aorus Xtreme. Silent card with zero coil whine is just what I am looking for, thanks a lot for the information!
