Great video, what flight times are you getting with li ion battery?
@MrCaptainnemo
@MrCaptainnemo Ай бұрын
@@AST8612 can't say that much so far. I haven't flown the battery packs to exhaustion yet. Both the 8000mAh 2P iFlight pack or the 16000mAh 4P Upgrade energy pack. Further testing required. I will update with video here.

Hello. I finally got round to testing the Upgrade Energy 16000mAh 6S4P Lithium ion battery pack down 2.6V per cell. I got 25 minutes of flight. I will post the goggle video from my first gen DJI goggles or repeat the test with an O3 unit and goggles. I am having some problems with WTFos OSD overlay but, at this point believe it's something to do with my computer rather than at their conversion side of things.

I have no idea 😂. I have used an upgrade energy 16Ah pack weighing 1.2kg and have flown it with an Insta Ace Pro which weighs about 180g. So a payload of 1380g or 1.4kg. I could perform flips and rolls but was aware of the inertia in dives far more than compared with the 5200mAh LiPo packs I use on it with the same camera.

It is a 10 inch quad. I would imagine it would be just the same as any other 10 inch regarding payload and weight using a similarly rated ESCs and motors

@@MrCaptainnemo I am Using Xing2 3314 900kV for AOS10, along with 5.2Ah 6s 120C, can you help me out... i wish to lift 2kg around 10 minutes
@MrCaptainnemo

@@Naturalworld90090 The weight of my build without a battery is just under 1kg. My heaviest all-inclusive weight is just under 2.4kg. You will manage to lift 2kg easily

Do you know the frames weight roughly?
@MrCaptainnemo

It's about the same as the iFlight Helion 10. 560g

Where did you get the gps 3d print?
@MrCaptainnemo
@MrCaptainnemo 5 ай бұрын
@@AllanFulmer I got the print file on Thingiverse I believe. I got some one on eBay to print it for me. All of the 5 inch and up AOS designs have the same footprints for mounts and sensors

I was wondering the same thing! so the distance between standoffs, holes etc are the same for 5, 7 and 10 inch aos?
@MrCaptainnemo
@MrCaptainnemo 4 ай бұрын
@@brothersinphoto Yes. The dimensions are the same so a GPS, Action cam mount etc are interchangeable.

Nice build and footage. Did you weigh the frame before your build? I’ve had a look at the cnc website, looking at the possibility of purchasing a AOS frame from them, is there uk vat, duty and delivery charges on top of the displayed price. Just trying to cost everything up. Thanks.

I was 148 USD for this frame kit. You will need some 3D prints . I didn't weigh it prior to the build. They calculate the full price on the website prior to you paying for their other shop front frames

You can also get the AOS frames through iFlight. The kits have the 3D prints also

How durable are the arms? Have you crashed and survived? they seem extra fragile with the truss style frame. Is it hard to tune?
@MrCaptainnemo
@MrCaptainnemo 9 ай бұрын
I have crashed the 7 inch version and the arms were undamaged. The top and bottom plates of the main body did split the carbon at the front where the arms lock in. One of the motor plates had some frayed carbon at a slot but it was perfectly usable with some super glue applied. The truss system is very strong and eliminates the turbulence from the thrust column bouncing off of the thick arms of other designs. Very good in high winds too. Flies very smoothly. I have the earlier model AOS 7 and it is very robust if you want a flying tank. I just fly with defaults at present. Some more experimentation and flying may find me wanting to change things. All I do is put a little expo into my throttle curve

@@MrCaptainnemo Oh that's good it might not be as fragile as i thought and easy to tune, i know most aos are best at default, good to hear.

A very good example of why you should make a basic script prior to making a video😂
