AP Overmatch and AP Penetration: Live Twitch Lesson || World of Warships

Highlight of a Twitch stream when someone asked me about AP overmatch. I then went on to cover the basics of AP mechanics in general. This is a live recording, not a scripted lesson, where I was responding to chat messages (not visible in this video).

Please bear in mind that the wowsft.com artillery charts I show in this video are estimates based on reverse-engineered formulae, they're not necessarily accurate, but it's still a useful guide on how AP penetration drops off over distance

Ahh, the voice Jingles listens to in the background when he's working. And yes, even though I've played for 2 years I picked up some useful info there about losing pen even though you overmatch the first plate. Thanks

What I take from this and how I will think about this from now on: What overmatch does, is remove the first angle calculation on the outer hull, while leaving EVERYTHING else the exact same... - Thereby it creates a "reverse broadside", "narrowside" or "front broadside" that I want to imagine and hit like it where any other broadside, while keeping in mind outliers like Yamato...

keep in mind that people that have this game have, obviously internet access and quite broadside internet otherwise they wouldnt keep up with the amount of GB download every month for the patches and modification of ther patches without whom you cant play at all and people have access to information, but i doubt that the overwhelming percentage of players wont watch ANY of the top 5 good streamers on any server on this game, so your estimation of 95 plus % do not know what overmatch is, is a joke. never overfatuate yourself with the amount of knowledge you posess over anybody, especially in this day and age we are living. a noob that just downloaded the game and doesn't know cant account for 95+ percent in your reasoning , you maybe meant percentage of humans period that dont know, not percentage of players... me for example, by playing world of tanks for 10 years,i can recognize hundreds of models of tanks just by looking at them, which models i didn't know before playing the game
