It's interesting how the Coast Guard never bothered to reach out to James Cameron on the OceanGate incident given his extensive experience with deep sea submersibles, the fact he had a close relationship with PH Nargeolet, is a member of the Explorers Club so he knew what happened before they did and clearly has a solid understanding of potential failure points of the submersible. Why is the Coast Guard not interested in his help, when he offered it to them?
