@@user-qz5gi4uh6x No, they are Zimbabwean Farmers. Back when Mugabe was in power, he stole all of their land and because of that Zimbabwean people starved because they didn't know how to farm well. Now that Mugabe is gone and there is democracy again, the people want the farmers to come back and help them grow food. The people know that only with the farmers they're not going to starve. It was only stupid pig Mugabe who thought he could get rid of them. These white farmers were born in Zimbabwe, their parents were also born there. It was their grandparents who moved to Zimbabwe from South Africa and England between 1890 and 1920. They may be white, but they are 100% Zimbabwean and it was only stupid dictator Mugabe who hated them. Thank God they are now back!
@serenissimarespublicavenet39454 жыл бұрын
@Pixel SmileWell, farming is very complicated and it takes years to learn proper farming techniques. As I've said, the European farmers had been living on the land for about 100 years, enough time to master the art of farming and learn of to get huge yields. They also helped the local economy a lot, because many native Africans worked in european-run farms and made a lot of money, however they didn't know about all the techniques. There were about 100.000 European farmers in Zimbabwe in 1995, all born there, who's parents had also been born there. As I've already mentioned, they were no less Zimbabwean than the blacks. When Mugabe decided to get rid of them in the year 2000, as soon as he had made the whites flee their land, under threat of murder, he put blacks loyal to his regime in their place, and ordered them to farm. However these native Africans had never studied the art of industrial farming, because they came from either subsistence-farming communities or from cities. These meant that they had no idea how to do the job, and consequently the yields were a lot smaller and people started to starve. There were only about 25000 white farmers left in Zimbabwe in 2015, but thankfully since 2017 the new government has asked them to come back and has started to give them their land back, so hopefully many more farmers will return in the future and Zimbabwe will once again be the rich and prosperous nation in was in the eighties.
@serenissimarespublicavenet39454 жыл бұрын
@Pixel Smile Well, Mugabe is the man who ordered more money to be printed when inflation rose dramatically in Zimbabwe, which is the stupidest thing you can do. We can't really expect him to do much better regarding farming. Also, by the year 2000, his regime had lost many of its allies (USSR) or its allies were in a state of civil war (Mozambique) meaning that there weren't many places to send anyone to learn. I shall also point out that punishing people for supposed crimes that their grandparents supposedly commited isn't right in any moral thinking.

see, evil thugs will not take care of communities, and help provide for people, only hard working good managers. People want to work, they want to do good work and provide for themselves, if a farm is being fairly run it can enrich the community. These men seem well loved, I hope they can prosper, and the community with them.

A lot of Frenchmen thought the same way in the 19th-century, wishing they hadn't killed all the nobles. Land seizure in Zimbabwe has got to the point where it's not even racist any more, it's just self-interested. It's land in return for political support, which is exactly what Europe had in the middle ages.

Gabriel Wing Not to be rude brother but you should really study up on American history. We initially amassed great wealth using free labor, primarily in the agricultural sector... that made way for everything else.

@Kyle S. You are an idiot. The people who welcome him back did not evict him - they worked him like many black Zimbabweans did for white farmers before their lands were seized by Mugabe's cronies (Mugabe's veterans), and they are happy that their former employer whom they remember from years ago is back. Many black Zimbabweans are happy working with whites - and these black Zimbabweans are being targeted by these cronies of Mugabe just as whites are (I watched a good documentary where white farmers were being interviewed, and their black farm workers would only give interviews if their identities were concealed because they are afraid of reprisals). Seriously, get some insight before you spout the typical masturbatory rhetoric. Many whites were active supporters of the Zimbabwean opposition party, and that only increased Mugabe's cronies attacks against them. I wish Rob and his workers all the best.
