What are the tell signs that this pressurestat is bad?

If I reduce brew pressure from 12 to 10 or 9 PSI on my Rocket Appartemento, will this influence brew temp? If yes, temp would go up or down? Thanks.
@StephenProbert3 жыл бұрын
Does reducing boiler pressure equate to lower brew temp? I am at 7000' (2100m), boiling point of water 199°F (93°C) and I am getting lots of steam in the brew head and water spout. To mitigate, I am not letting it warm up more than 20 minutes, but wondering if pstat adjustment would help. Thanks for the video.

My reply is perhaps coming a bit late, but the answer is yes. Boiling point of water at sea level is about 104.6°C at 1.2 bar of pressure, and 102.4°C at 1.1 bar. At your altitude it may be respectively 97.2°C and 95.2°C. So if you decrease boiler pressure, you will get less steam, and the maximum temperature of the water will be lower.

The pump pressure of Appartamento is adjusted at 11.5 bar Rocket RECOMMENDS NOT TO MODIFY THIS ADJUSTMENT to avoid eventual malfunctions The machine is equipped with vibration pump and not rotary pump. 9 Bar are advised only on rotary pump machine.
@chriscoffeeservice28213 жыл бұрын
You are incorrect adjusting the pressure to 9 bar is industry recommended and adjusting the pressure to 9 bar will do NOTHING to harm the pump. When you adjust the the pressure down to 9 bar you are making NO adjustment what so ever to the pump itself you are only adjusting the expansion valve.

So, it seems that there is confusion about this topic. In this video, the screw ONLY modify the boiler's pressure/temperature. The brew pressure bolt is actually located at the bottom at the machine. The video called 'Adjusting Brew Pressure On Rocket Appartamento Espresso Machine' on KZbin clears that up. But about this video here, I have a newer Appartamento with 2 red screws instead of that single screw. Still don't know what to do :(
@retowagner80323 жыл бұрын
Same here. The bigger red screw can be adjusted. Counter-Clockwise = higher pressure and vice-versa :).

@@retowagner8032 any website or video to back this? I've found nothing online so far on these new screws! And because of the loctite, there is a risk breaking/stripping something..

I'm sitting at about 1.2-1.3 with brew head temps at 186F w/o doing a cooling flush. If I do 1.1-1.2 I'll be at about 178-180F. Any ideas as to what I need to have looked at? Thanks!

If you want service help give our office a call and speak to one of our techs. We do not do trouble shooting and technical support on You Tube. You can reach them Monday thru Friday 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM EST at 518-452-5995 be are you are in front of your machine when you call. The first thing they are going to ask you is how are you measuring your temperature at the group? With a Scace device I hope.

Hi guys... do you know if BREW pressure can be adjusted in the Appartamento? It seems this relates to boiler pressure right? Could you please clarify? Thank you

Hi..my extraction time is too fast. I am extracting 30grm espresso (with 18gram dark roast beans) with just 14 seconds.The first drop started at 5th second, but at 9th second the flow suddenly too much pouring. The boiler pressure gauge at 1 bar. I have changed many kind of beans, and flush 2 seconds before brewing.pls enlight what is the problem. I am using the appartamento pairing with eureka mignon perfetto and have adjusted the grind size for espresso until turkey setting.

Sivali Universal same here. Do you find any way to fix this?
@sivaliuniversal7634 жыл бұрын
Hi Jason. The Eureka Mignon Perfekto setting is not consistent..so u have to turn it to Turkish finest even until the blank space in order to get the espresso grind. Eventhough different beans u need to adjust the grind a bit but it is not far from that.

Same happens to me. Did u find a solution?
@sivaliuniversal76310 ай бұрын
I set my Eureka Perfetto to final line for Turkish when using 20/21grams of medium roast beans. However, if u r using 18gram then u sud set more 2-3 lines ahead from Turkish..the label at Perfekto grinder is not accurate.

my apparemento looks different inside for making an adjustment . I can't see the screw to turn as its covered, any thoughts?
@chriscoffeeservice28214 жыл бұрын
If you have newer one they changed the pressure stat that they now use and they put lock tight over the adjustment screws. They do not want you making any adjustments in fact if you make adjustments and there is a good chance you can break the stat. You make adjustments to the stat the warranty on the stat is void.

@@ChrisCoffeeService WoW! That was fast! I was searching KZbin to find out if I can change the "ugly" white, black or copper sides that we can see on the Rocket Appartamento machines. Do you know if it is possible to change those?
@chriscoffeeservice28214 жыл бұрын
@@MarioBruneau I honestly do not know if Rocket makes any side panels that are stainless steel that fit the Apartmento or not. You could take the colored piece off the inside of the panel and put something else in its place. Have you thought about clear plexiglass so you could see inside?
@MarioBruneau4 жыл бұрын
@@chriscoffeeservice2821 Yes, this is my question: Can I remove the white side panels? If so (as you seem to imply) then I can change them for whatever I want. Can you confirm I can change them and fit my own transparent plexi or stainless?

@@MarioBruneau They are only plastic and glued on. How hard it will be to remove them I can't say I don't know of anyone that has tried to remove them. I assume with some heat you can get them off.
