My family is from Guam and I lived there for a few years and housing is expensive. You've got to do what you need to do for the lifestyle you want to have. It's a beautiful island and so many wonderful cultural events. Enjoy my beautiful island!!!

I actually went to see that first place too about 2 weeks ago. I can’t believe they STILL aint remove that mold! Saw that second place too, and I was NOT feeling the outside lookin like a crackhouse😅

Wow, the property owner still hasn't had the place cleaned? That's sad. Alec called the property manager that day and told him the condition of the place. Hold him that their agency wouldn't show it again until it had been cleaned.

I would never say anything bad about the island itself or the people. The island is beautiful and the people are great. The infrastructure on the other hand has been neglectedin a lot of cases. The native Islanders that I work with and that I've talked to since arriving here say the same thing.

@@philo2197 it's funny that you mention that. I was just watching a documentary on Hawaii a few days ago and they were talking about the homeless population there as well as the drug issues. I think that some of the homeless and drug addicts are being shipped here to Guam. Guam is now having an issue with methamphetamine and homelessness.

Unfortunately I cannot say what I got it for because I believe the price has changed since I moved in. But I will say it's between $2,500 and $3K a month

​@@Ehkayait makes perfect sense. Landlords and property owners raise rent often. Because of this location being prime, I'm not sure if the rent has gone up since I signed my lease. If someone is looking to rent here, I don't want them using my this as a reference negotiating tool to try and get a lower amount. That could potentially come back to bite me if I decide to renew my lease.

I clearly see why people dont want to move or have a long stay in Guam.....how do you show these apartments......... This is terrible....the island is so beautiful but yet forgotten.......... People are so hard on many island's on how they are not up to date or as people say modernized, but guam is terrible...really Bad......... This island that America owns need to be sold back to Asians which really would take care of it much better....America is to far away across seas to really care about these people who deserves much more attention to.... But America puts gives Ukraine hundreds of millions of dollars and they are not even apart of the UN............. How about that..........

Yes, it's a very beautiful island however finding a place can be frustrating. Like I tell people transferring here to lower their expectations. If not, it can be overwhelming and disheartening. Especially if you're transferring here with a family
