All I can say is that in glad storms like these only happen once a decade here in Chicago. This video was actually taken super close to my neck of the woods. Looks like they were having fun for sure. I remember this storm. Totally sucked!!! We really aren't used to enormous blizzards. This is why they are so memorable when they do happen. This one was the 2011 blizzard if I'm not mistaken and the ones in my recent memory (well, my parents that is) were '79 and '88. Probably missed a few in between but I have no memory of that since I'm a 90s kid. Our winters are more like what we've had this year. No white Christmas and little no snow before that. We actually just had our first major snowfall on the first of the year and even then it was only about 2-3 inches by me. Some other spots got closer to 4-6. Funny thing is there's still barely any more snow forecasted in the extended forecast. Winters here in Chicago at least fluctuate between little to no snow to moderately snowy, even the average temps of winter are pretty variable. As with most weather related things in the US, the la Nina and El nino cycles have a huge impact on that. So I suppose it no real surprise. Anyway, I think I'll take Chicago winters over Denver's. I think we're a tad warmer and have dramatically less snow. Snow is not for me.

A girl was ride-sharing with me and I had to drop her off at the Newark station. And I did. Then I drove home to Jersey City. Because I was driving a Jeep. Good point. Only one on here. Still prefer my Subaru's, with snow tires. The capabilities of Subaru's get very little publicity, but YT is filled with videos that should send a person to the dealer. Here in Milwaukee, in rather meager snow, a police officer got his Dodge rear end stuck in a ditch. Thank God the Jeep...no...an H2...no, wasn't that...oh, got it...it was Subaru STI in full diff lock (a true 4x4) strapping the Dodge to his tow hook and pulling him out. Check some of the videos of tuned Subarus doing 5000 rpm launches in snow. No grip issues after 100 feet. My Outback (tuned, lowered 3", aluminum rally skid plares) has pushed snow over it's headlights and "drag races" against...anything...it's unbeaten. It is dangerous, I'll admit that. It's raw, too. No traction or stability control.

Not. Doesn't work that way. Next time it snows at least 3-4", push your shovel from one end of the driveway to the other. Once enough mass is loaded on the front, all the other snow is just pushed up and over the shovel, or mounds up on the sides and falls back in. And that's a *shovel*. This guy? Yeah, some snow went to the right or left, but most fell right back down behind it, along with the snow going under the H2. What he DID do was push more snow onto all the cars. He's no different than a guy who pulls to the right to blow through a puddle to get people wet. This guy = all ego. No medal.

@@Tomas.X A vehicle is not a shovel moron. Snow is compressable, when a large vehicle plows through deep snow they will push the top layer around their front bumper and to the sides.
