If you are planning to apply in SINP OID or Express Entry category and if your NOC code requires a license then you must contact specific regulatory body to acquire license.

I have a bachelors degree in chemical engineering (graduated in 2006) and masters degree in process technolog and management (2017) with over 10 years work experience in process engineering. you can apply simultaneously to the APEGS. in fact, it is a requirement in SIN if your noc code requires a license. however, as you are not from a engineering background so you should apply to CIPS. Thank you for your feedback; as I already mentioned, I have NOC 2173 and a Master degree; the credential is a Diploma of engineer, and the Major is software engineering; however, I am not able to find a software engineering option under the "Degree Type field " in the Academic Qualifications Form. yes go for course by course for bachelor degree too. A you can expect around 50K INR for APEGS license.

APEGS is required for Saskatchewan province only. You may apply in parellel with sinp process. but you will not get sinp nomination letter until you will clear your APEGS certification. All the best.

Hello Sir, First of all, thankyou so much for explaining the process so clearly. Can you please clear few doubts. 1. While filling the application, it is asking me to provide the information about my current organization. Later it also takes my consent to do an on-site interview at my office site. Do they actually contact your organization for verification etc. 2. They are asking for a fees of $210 at form submission stage whereas you have explained in the video that they will post an invoice of $210 after they determine that an APEGS Academic assessment is required. Does that mean in total we have to pay $420 for getting this license?

APEGS is independent process. You can do it anytime. if you have APEGS license your process may be quicker after ITA. I mean to say that you don't have to wait for the APEGS license after ITA as it takes long time. All the best

Secondly, I want let you know my status and what steps I have made, so you can advise me for the next. ▪️I have my ielts certificate as per Canadian benchmark CLB6. ▪️I applied to WES, and I have already my evaluation of course by course and already sent to APEGS. ▪️I submitted all documents to APEGS, and they ask me to send the CBA competency based assessment to waive the confirmatory exam. I need a help on writing the CBA, AS I AM NOC 2132 , Mechanical Engineer. If there are some previous samples, for mechanical reports, it will be helpful for me.(note : I already have started to write only 2 competency out of 10 only required for the international graduate cases, as my case.) And please advise me, when I can register to SINP?, in what stage I can log into sinp profile? , especially my points is only 61, and this is low as it is a hardly I can find in the rounds, what should I do? From where can I get these details ? Actually I've already got my WES assessment done for the courses attended (where a candidate receives the course equivalency in Canada from WES). 1 check you noc code on SINP site. there is a list of noc codes which tells you that you require it or not. 2 IQAS is also fine, you need to tell them to send course by course report to APEGS

Excellent video. My degree titles are "BS in Software Engineering" and "MS in Computer Engineering" and WES has awarded me MSc and BSc equivalency in one document. However, my professional experience of 15 years is a mix of "Software Developer", "Software Engineer" and recent most experience of 12 years is in "Software designer". Now I want to know either I should go for a license with CIPS or APEGS? NOC code which best suitable for me is 2173 "Software Engineers and designers" and i came to know through SINP website that for software engineers we should go for APEGS and for software designers we should go for CIPS. Now I am confused about which way to proceed?

yes it is applied. You might get some help but you need license if your NOC requires it

license depends on your noc code not education. NOC 2173 requires APEGS license.
