I sent you stars because this was well filmed. you didn’t talk for 20 minutes before you started drumming you gave a top view so you could see what’s going on. very very good video. I gave my three year-old grandson a Djembe last night and an adult tambourine and he was drumming and singing into the night, I had no idea. It was so adorable. I’m gonna use this to learn what to teach him, very grateful!

Hey Eric, love how you demonstrate your tutorials using the "pic in pic" technique to show YOUR perspective of the drum along with the viewer perspective which makes it easier to learn the actual hand positions instead of just switching the hand positions in my head alone!!! Very effective and efficient!!! Thank you for all your videos and your humor that makes the instructions even more fun!!!

Nice step by step pattern, I agree with you in developing a smooth nice and slow pattern, as well as taking your time. Like the saying goes: “ slow is smooth, and smooth is fast “, afterwards you can begin adding what I call the, “ plug-ins “ or what you call the, “ ghost beats “. Love what you do bro, keep it going, and peace to you ! Lol 😀👊🏼🙏🏼

This type of pattern is very accessible to a casual listener, and to flavour pop/rock genres. Reminds me of some of the Exotica records from the mid 50s early 60s, and some of the dance instruction records at the time too.

Love your videos! I'm beginning and hahave always 'driummed' on stuff......i know its diferent when you're actually playing a song. How do you know which rhythm to play? Is it more just winging it and playing a rhythym that works? Or does every type of music have to have a certain beat you play?
