Jarang and mommy have a great system that works for them. She knows where to put him for safety and baby J has gotten very comfortable with it. It seems she knows her baby’s limitations and adjusts accordingly. I think mom is very smart! And even though baby J is limited physically he is very determined. I believe that he will grow up and amaze us all!❤️❤️
@elisabethfriedl7773 күн бұрын
Mum is not smart. Mum is in fact unable to raise her offspring properly like orangutans normally do. In the jungle her son would be killed in few weeks, because she let him lay alone on the floor and she let him never drink enough. But we don't know why she doesn't have good motherly instincts

When Jinnga is focussed on searching for food she gently “ Unclips” Jarang from her leg by lifting his hand like a seatbelt buckle🤣 Jarang is very secure using Jingga’s leg as his primary attachment position. Just another reason why he is so unique, adapting to his own needs and those of his mum😮

He’s been like that since birth and has some neurological issues. Despite the physical impairment, I believe he’s a bright little boy orangutan.

If you dare to make a negative comment on the mother Jinga you'll get a stern verbal telling off. They tend to get upset if you don't love Jinga lol 🤪🤪🤪

This mother seems to be rejecting her baby. The keepers said she is doing her own thing but she often leaves the baby. Also baby has to fight to nurse. Baby should be hand reared.
@sandralgkk4 күн бұрын
We've been saying that since he was born.
@tidusjecht91434 күн бұрын
@@sandralgkk Obviously they don't care. I have seen cases where the baby is left with the mother but the keepers keep a close watch and intervene when necessary. I'm not sure this zoo takes their responsibility seriously.
@4rsalways4 күн бұрын
So you think because she sits him down she's rejecting him??? 😂😂 You do realize he's a year old, correct? He is perfectly healthy. If you didn’t notice, she sat him beside food. This is how they encourage their little ones to eat and her behavior is completely normal. Just as humans have a million different ways of parenting, so do other primates.
