Armada's Fox was the first bit of exposure I had to him, and he even tricked me into thinking he was a Fox main once. Now, the way he's playing, he seems like a Peach _and_ Fox main.

anyone who watches previous mango matches or his stream could see mango was just playing awful. it's as simple as that. Armada was playing great but mango didnt even look like a top player in that set. He's sooooooooooo much better than that. everybody has their days i guess.

Armada, from what I understand, plays Peach against non-gods. Armada plays Fox against gods/ top 6 to counter the foxes/puffs. Please don't make excuses for Mango. "He was tired, he just wasn't his best, his motivation and energy dropped after losing to Leffen" etc... He lost to a very consistent Armada who took a set off of every God with his fox. Plus, Armada "rekt" him here. It wasn't even close, sadly. The powershields and techs by Armada.... ridiculous.

Armada had a shield break opportunity at 1:11 with FC nairs but didn't go for it. Really strange considering his stance that Peach doesn't have what it takes anymore and switching over Fox, a character with far greater technical requirements than Peach's shieldbreak or anything Peach has but was not utilized by Adam.

It was planned all along for me (Armada here btw)! If I lost he would stay Fox so I could force the ditto, if I won I knew he would pick YS, a stage I don't like vs Mango. But YS is pretty good vs Falco as Fox overall, so even if it's not a good stage for me it is kinda good for the MU.

I've never played Melee competitively since I cannot find a Melee disc that I can afford, so I don't really know the spacing and timing that goes into the moves, but at 6:46, could Armada have finished off Mango's last stock if he had up smashed a little sooner? I feel like he hesitated before actually attacking.

If you look closely, an immediate upsmash would not have hit Falco, so Fox needed to close the small gap and he either messed up his dash movement or decided to walk the few pixels, causing him to be a tad too late.

Yeah, basically, he wouldn't have hit it if he didn't move closer first and dashing would take him past Mang0. A wavedash up smash might have been best but maybe not. Either way its a really fast fairly difficult read
