The "humming" is from modulation of the frequencies while the wheel is under load. Lower frequency zones can cause audible humming. A related connection is the controller, a programming of insufficient voltage. Can cause the motor to struggle without enough operating voltage. It also builds heat. It's very curious, isn't this a prototype wheel? And no one has one of these correct? It's an interesting strategy sharing an enthusiast effort in exploring the development process with the public. Very educational for the watchers and gets more eyes on a test subject, while community building. Interesting to see how this impacts the manufacturer on a business level.

This is my only worry when we get wheels here in the UK, you never know if you get the version where most of the fine tuning was done. But then if you buy from a dealer they can sort out the problems. Need to see if I can get a ride on a Lynx. Thanks for sharing

In my experience this sound is loose screws (somewhere) which then enables two close surfaces to resonate with the motor vibratons and causing this type of noise, so firmware update might have made the motor vibrate less but there could still potentially be something loose somewhere or as you explained it might be tolerances around that bridge

I agree, in "most" cases. The stark difference between the before & after in my case makes me think it's not because of a loose bolt. Also, NOSFET has been working on this prior to it occurring on my wheel, and presumably they know how to tighten all the bolts. So I'm going to attribute this to a firmware issue that they fixed. For now anyway 🙂

Awesome, I am glad you got that squared away. I would like to see some 10+ step stair descents on the Apex in glorious slow motion. I am also curious to see more air shock vs coil shock comparisons for Apex.

Interesting detail about the Sherman, before my time haha

So crazy. The S22 had vibrations or oscillations brought on by one of the firmwares, then fixed by an update as well.

I had in consideration buying the Apex, but it has a lot of issues and for $3500? Is a new company and they want to compete with the existent companies, I just hear about issues and complaints and they only response all the time is "easy fix" for real they should have better quality for the price.

S22-esque suspension with Leaperkim parts and support for after market suspension. Feels like the usual Batch 1 issues and dialing in PID. I'll look forward to the 500 mile reviews where there is enough time for stuff to go wrong just like I did with the Lynx even with all its hype.

Don't forget, this is 1 of 6 PROTOTYPE units sent out to early testers. Of course there will be issues.

I seen Denis Hagov review on apex. And he said he is ashaimed by Mike. He said that he got new linkage system next day. And Us dealers-tester acted ugly towards new euc company. As for product it is good, but not for most customers.
