100% accurate review...I installed mine and it's the best upgrade for the original M&P 40. A crisp 4.5# trigger, super short reset equals much better grouping. And it does look better!

Awesome upgrade! Did you have to buy any special sear housing block? If yes, where from? Asking since Apex added this in the details. NOTE: Requires use of sear housing block designed for large size sear plunger and spring (current production as of June 2011).

I have the mp9c 1.0 trigger was gritty. Once at the wall the break was crisp but a couple pounds above optimum for on pull....and well the reset....the reset is ass, sometimes it makes the noise of the reset and feel of the reset and when you pull the trigger...nope it didnt reset..other times same noise and feel and yup it did reset. I made the wise desicion to purchase the Apex flatty forward set...and OMG is all i can say. Its amazing. I even had a non gun owner friend feel the trigger before and after to get an viewpoint form a non shooter on overall feel...he was blown away. WOW he exclaimed on the apex after felling the original as his base. If you want to love your MP 1.0 this is the way! Im stuck in CA so after looking at what i can get... from the preselected list from my garbage state clowns..i realized i had to just make my 1.0 better 😞 CA has completly dropped the ball...actually they dropped all the balls.. they are so busy sucking all the D's they forgot about the balls

The big boys just will not listen to the marketplace. Why should we have to pay $700 for a firearm and then $300 more for a good trigger? Canik, Walther, and CZ give the shooter amazing triggers right out of the box. They could do it too, but will not. That said, some of these aftermarket triggers are exceptional if you want to improve your traditional firearm.

Great video/review! I have two questions: would this trigger be compatible with my M&P Shield 1.0 9mm subcompact? Also, how did you get that Vortex mounted on the 1.0 and/or who did the work? Thanks!
@Crafty.Veteran.Survival2 жыл бұрын
Hey Rene, yea there should be an Apex trigger for all M&P models as far as I'm aware. And I mounted my Venom by sending in my slide to have it professionally milled for an optics cut. There's a lot of places that will do that 👍

New flat faced trigger is very gritty I don't mind it but I bought the poly apex to see what the hype is about

Don't bother with the new stock flat face. The Apex is well worth the investment. Loved the rail adapter review for the TRL-7A Shield. You provided everything that an owner may need to for the upgrade (aftermarket key, holster). Do you think you'll upgrade to the Shield Plus Optic Ready? Cause that will provide another logistic challenge to find a holster setup for such and the right cut for your TRL-7.
@Crafty.Veteran.Survival2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for input! I may get the newer shield some day, although I still love carrying my PC 2.0 shield, and my newer M&P compact OR 4in 2.0 (may put an apex in that one though). I know of a great custom holster manufacturer, so if I even did get a new OR Shield Plus, I could get a custom holster for it. Thanks for watching!

@@Crafty.Veteran.Survival I wanted to ask, with the TRL-7A, how was your imprint? Do you think a TRL-7A Sub would be a better option in the future?
@Crafty.Veteran.Survival2 жыл бұрын
@resolute123 The sub would probably be really good too, since it's practically the same thing as the TLR7-A, but a little smaller. So that may be even nicer for compact/comfort carrying. May get one in the future, we'll see!

Not a fan of straight triggers apex included but apex curved trigger FST kits is on 3 of our 4 of our M&P's both old and 2.0 models

I just got the new 9mm compact one with the flat face trigger optics ready and it’s horrible!!! I really can’t believe how bad it is! Will be definitely upgrading to the apex! My shield in 9 and 45 have way better triggers.
@Crafty.Veteran.Survival2 жыл бұрын
Ah dang, that's good to know that. I figured the Apex would still be the best, because it's a high performance trigger, I just haven't felt the new standard M&P flattys, so I couldn't truly compare. But yea, you'd definitely notice an improvement then with going to an Apex. Thanks for watching Dustin ✌
