First of all, I really like you. You seem to be really passionate, joyful, to understand this sport. You have this constructive criticism which I really love (I am so tired of hate) and you try as much as possible to be objective, by admitting when a team is better, even that's not your favourite team. I first watched your reactions to Euro U21 and afterwards, to our beloved Ianis, to Glasgow Rangers. I can not tell you what a delight and hope is to see HAGI on a t-shirt again. Because I have to say, when Hagi retired, football almost died for me. I couldn't find the joy anymore. Our football teams were a wreck and the Romanian national team was just a pain to watch. However Hagi knew that and he invested all his money into building his own football academy, being one of the biggest in Europe now, leading practically to the rebirth of Romanian football. How extraordinary it is to have started something from the scratch and named your valiant plan "The Future" like a premonition, a predestination of what was going to happen a few years afterwards! So it's not only Ianis (thank God for his genes), but a few other young players that are going to invade the world with their skills, because whatever he touches is like magic wand. He was and is simply a charm for Romania and for football in general. Hagi's specialty was football as art. Hagi was a genius, but not that kind of genius that doesn't embrace his qualities or doesn't develop his potential. He worked hard for every step of his self-development, harder than any other player, training for more than 2-3 hours after the official training was over. He had so much passion for this sport and he played it with such joy that made people so happy and hopeful. He turned people into believing that "anything is possible", if you fight and believe in what you want. He just somehow knew how amazing and fantastic he was, without being arrogant, but self-confident. He took it more as a responsibility, something like: "I don't have these skills for nothing, I need to show the world, so they can get inspired". And did he show that? Oh, he did. He came out swinging! Hagi wasn't a football player. He played with science, Physics, Math, luck, hearts, dreams, beliefs, not with a ball. I will give you some examples. In 1990, at World Cup Italy, when Romania played against Cameroon, Hagi was strictly watched by many defenders and couldn't do much, so the Romanian coach changed him. At the end of the game, Cameroon's coach said..."Oh God, changing Hagi was the best thing that ever happened to us, we had so many players watching him because we were so scared of him. So, afterwards I could introduce Milla that won the game for us". The conclusion is Hagi , even on a bad day, has been irreplaceable! Guess what happened in the next match against Argentina, with Maradona on the pitch? He played fantastic! "Hagi wins against Dieguito (a diminutive of Diego Armando Maradona)", quote from Tuttosport newspaper. In 1992, when he was a football player at Real Madrid, he scored a cosmic goal, from the middle of the field, the 7th one you have in this video. That game was absolutely out of this world. Hagi showed off his magic powers that one of the Romanian newspaper reporters said: "Hagi didn't play on Bernabeu, he played at Scala Opera Hall". And Ioan Chirilă was right, because you could really hear Puccini watching him play! When you say World Cup 1994 USA, you just say Hagi! He was breathtaking. So was the Romanian team. No words to describe! There is a legend that Cobi Jones, one the American football players, after playing against Romania, he went to the Romanian locker room to ask for Hagi's signature! In 1995, when he played for Barcelona, on a very foggy day, he scored from the middle of the field again, although he couldn't see the goal, but he obviously knew where that was. Wanting to be closer to Romania, he went to Turkey, where he agreed to sign for Galatasaray Istanbul. However he wanted a stipulation in his contract, if he ever won a European Cup with his team, they would pay him 1 million dollars. He didn't do it for money, he did it for having a purpose, a motivation, to show them he was not there as a retiree and that he wanted results! Of course they agreed to it, they never thought that could be possible, since they couldn't even win their championship anymore. They bought him thinking they needed his experience just to win the Turkish Championship. However, from the very beginning, Hagi played wonderful and practically relived a second youth playing for Galatasaray. The Turkish people had never seen such a player, so they treated him like a king, an emperor. They loved him so much. Hagi changed an entire mentality, the entire championship, his teammates started to feel like they were real football players out of the blue, the other teams and press were just in awe, everyone was inspired by him. Should I tell you that he got his 1 million dollars? Of course, he did. Galatasaray won the Uefa Cup against Arsenal and The Super Cup against Real Madrid! Many years after Hagi retired, I went to Istanbul and I got free icecream, free cabs, even a pair of gold earrings and a leather jacket for being Romanian, just like Hagi. How amazing is that?! He never won "the Golden Ball" or "Ballon d'or" Award, although he deserved it for so many times, but he got a lot more than that "The Golden Hearts" Award! Thank you, Hagi!

Yeah, that is basically how knuckleball works. People can do it but only in freekicks. Also Hagi can aim accurately without any spin wich is like unique. Most knuckleball kickers don't exactly know where the ball will end up so They mostly aim at the center so ball goes somewhere right or left without leaving the target area.
