I struggle with perfectionism. I feel like every time I draw, I have to make it look perfect! If it doesn’t look perfect, than I feel like I’m not improving. I’m slowly learning that every draw day doesn’t have to be make perfect art, I can do sketch days, art studies, and just focus on areas I need to improve. I’m only a year 1 self taught artist and I’m starting to realize good art comes way later.

Running away from my art its my biggest mistake i do, i Start art at 2017 doing some good job an growth and running away till 2022 its just a deep regret

I agree with this video, i use to run away from hands but now i love drawing them, i also started using lighting. The only problem i have is i procrastinate, I wanna draw all day but i just never pick up the pencil/tablet and draw. I started my manga exactly a month ago with chapter 1 already out and chapter 2 is suppose to be out on the first of April but i haven't even started yet bc of my procasination

It’s awesome that you were able to overcome drawing hands! 👏 They’re definitely one of the hardest body parts. Procrastination is definitely a challenge. It’s great that you’ve given yourself a deadline for each chapter. If you’re still struggling, you can try looking for a community of artists with the same goals and interests. If you see your peers working on their art, it might also inspire you to push yourself to draw.

Regarding point 2, I've tried so hard to "learn the basics" but I can't find any online tutorials on what "the basics" even are, or how to practice them. 99% of drawing help/lessons/tutorials seem to assume you already have some experience.

What is the absolute, very first thing that someone in that situation should try learning/practicing? I tried jumping right into figure drawing but I know that isn't a good starting place. Sure, no problem! We specialize in designing (human) characters so we suggest to study the head first and then go down to the rest of the body. No matter what you’ll be drawing, those are always crucial.

is the chance of a foriegners manga getting adapted into a anime good?

Great question! Honest answer: even Japanese manga artists don’t get an anime adaptation that easily. Whether you’re a foreigner or Japanese mangaka, your title would have to be very popular to get that kind of break. Does it mean it’s impossible? Nope! But you definitely need to put in the work.
