Religion is actually a part of game of emotions among human societies. Societies have been designed historically around this game so to replace this approach with science we definitely have to incorporate such delicate thinking patterns as found in religion. But one thing I must say when we listen religious people, they usually portray attributes of God as like some human king so scientific mind can't coexist with religious powerful fictitious nature. For example, nearly all religions come after one another and in the beginning newer version criticise older version but in reality we as human beings as society behave similarly and after few generations we as members of new religion start behaving similar to older religions. We can say historically humanity loves to have dream connection with unseen super authority as God but in reality certain people are doing God's duty to keep the structure of their version of religion. We can say actually humen are ruling over other human beings on the name of religion.
