Javed Ahmed Ghamidi is a Pakistani Muslim theologian, a Quran scholar, and an educationist. Mr. Ghamidi is a student of Maulana Amin Ahsan Islahi and Maulana Abul A’la Maududi. Mr. Ghamidi has authored several books, including the bestseller ‘Meezan’, in which he presents a comprehensive treatise on the entire content of Islam. Mr. Ghamidi is a researcher and a critical thinker who has challenged many aspects of the traditional Muslim schools of thought on the basis of evidence from Quran and sunnah.

2:19۔حالانکہ انکے سامنے سچی باتیں آ چکی ہیں میں اللہ نے کہا ہے کہ،” بہت سے اہل کتاب یہ چاہتے ہیں کہ تمہیں ایمان لانے کے بعد تم کو حسد کی وجہ سے، پھر کافر بنا دیں حالانکہ انکے سامنے واضح بور پر۔ سچی باتیں آ چکی ہیں تو انکو معاف کر دواور درگزر کر دو( اصفحوا۔ چھوڑ دو کچھ بھی نہ کہو) جب تک کہ اللہ کا حکم آ جاۓ۔بے شک اللہ ہر چیز ( اور بات) قادر ہے( یعنی اپنے قوانین کے مطابق ہر بات اسکے قابو میں ہے)”۔اور 70:5 میں ہے کہ،تو ( کافروں کو بتا کر کہ کافرین ( عذاب ) کو ٹال نہیں سکینگے۔””، تو صبر کرو( اپنے عقیدہ پر رکے رہو اور انکی باتیں برداشت کرو)اچھے طریقہ سے ( جمیل ا”، خوبصورتی سے)۔” تو واض ہو گیا کہ صفح کرنا بغیر کسی سزا کے ہے اور صبر کرنا انکی باتیں برداشت کرکے ثابت قدم رہنا اپنے دین پر۔صرف معافی نافرمانی یا برے کام کے کرنے پر سزا نہیں دی جاتی ہے ۔اگر وہ نادم ہوکر توبہ نہیں کریگا تو برے کام کی سزا ملیگی۔
