@@vasstagoarchipelagus5954 well for me this song makes me think of my father. He was never there and when he was he emotionally and verbally abusive. I am in the process of healing and recovering from the depression he caused and I don't care if he lives or dies as long as he does it as far away as possible from me. It may sound harsh but how can anyone expect me to miss a man I never really knew? He didn't even try to be a good father

@@d.r429 Although Not many will understand, they have not been in our shoes. I always get “she’s your mother no matter what” I had to finally cut her off. She see’s nothing wrong with her abuse in which I endured for years. The person who was suppose to love & care for you. I’m a damaged person and because of what she put me through, some stuff still affects me today. I feel mixed emotions. You do what’s best for you because at the end of the day, you only have yourself. People will turn on you and hurt you. Work on becoming a better person & healing. Look for answers which means facing the past. Sometimes you won’t find answers nor understand why but know you are worth so much. Don’t ever feel like you ain’t.

@@vasstagoarchipelagus5954 It means, after 28 years of marriage and almost losing my mind when he left me I realized one day I didn't owe him anything. He only took and I only gave and after you give all you can, it's not possible to care anymore. Don't know if he's dead or alive 15 year later, and it's the most free I have felt since I was 25. I was not the selfish one, and now my life is finally my own.

THANK YOU 😭😭 OMGG. I was really struggling, I couldn’t stand listening to the other version and didn’t know what happened to the original. I’ve been on it for a hot minute and couldn’t find it til now. I appreciate you big time! ❤️

Adam Gontiers voice makes me tear up. His voice brought such realness and grit to the childhood abuse i went through as a teen. I felt like i couldnt tell anyone and no one cared but at least he could sing what i was feeling.

I try to make it through my life, in my way, there's you I try to make it through these lies, and that's all I do Just don't deny it Don't try to fight this, and deal with it And that's just part of it If you were dead or still alive I don't care, I don't care Just go and leave this all behind 'Cause I swear (I swear) I don't care I try to make you see my side I always try to stay in line But your eyes see right through That's all they do I'm getting buried in this place I got no room, you're in my face Don't say anything just go away If you were dead or still alive I don't care, I don't care Just go and leave this all behind 'Cause I swear (I swear) I don't care Love changing everything, you won't be left for me Love changing everything, you won't be left for me If you were dead or still alive I don't care, I don't care Just go and leave this all behind 'Cause I swear (I swear) I don't care If you were dead or still alive I don't care (I don't care) I don't care (I don't care) Just go and leave this all behind I don't care (I swear) I don't care At all

When you've been down rabbit holes about the entertainment industry you see this video with different eyes. The dark practices in the industry and the struggle to get away from the people trying to suck you into it. There are a lot of videos that artists have made trying to show us what happens behind the curtain and it hits deeper when you rewatch a video and see what you couldn't before.
