This song hurts. A lot. Not because I was the victim, but because I was the abuser. After a lot of help I grew a conscious, and realized the damage I did. And seeing the shit I caused? How I broke her like I did? I have permanent regret issues now. I don't think I'll ever really atone for that. This.... This song is just a living reminder of what I did. And that's why I listen to it. It's helping me nail into my brain what I did to someone. And making sure I never make that mistake again. It's been around 4 or 5 years since I tried to amend what I did, and I'm no closer. But this song is a perfect encapsulation of what it's like to be a victim to my limited understanding, from talking to her to try to fix this. And it's amazing to hear, while still... Painful. Saw Adam sing this live recently and there are no words that can do his performance justice. It was identical to his performance on this actual record....all these years later. Speechless. ✊

What I love abt their songs is that you can apply them to multiple different situations and this is one of those golden songs out of multiple songs by three days grace which is perfect bc ultimately music is the best therapy or at least I feel that way and I'm sure others do too

Adam Gontiers voice makes me tear up. His voice brought such realness and grit to the childhood abuse i went through as a teen. I felt like i couldnt tell anyone and no one cared but at least he could sing what i was feeling.

This song came to me in a dream just now at 430am, i typed in the lyrics “i don’t care i don’t care” and it sounded alternative. The exact part i heard was at 2:45. Crazy thing is, I’ve never heard this song or band in my life. This has never happened me. Interesting.

2024 🖤🔥 Lyrics: I try to make it through my life In my way, there's you I try to make it through these lies And that's all I do Just don't deny it Just don't deny it Yeah deal with it You try to break me You wanna break me Bit by bit That's just part of it If you were dead or still alive I don't care, I don't care And all the things you leave behind I don't care, I don't care I try to make you see my side Always try to stay in line But your eyes see right through That's all they do I'm getting tired of this shit I've got no room when it's like this What you want of me, just deal with it So If you were dead or still alive I don't care I don't care And all the things you left behind I don't care I don't care Nothing can care about I'm taking care of it You won't be there for me You won't be there for me If you were dead or still alive I don't care I don't care And all the things you left behind I don't care I don't care If you were dead or still alive I don't care (nothing can care about) I don't care (I'm taking care of it) And all the things you've left behind I don't care (you won't be there for me) I don't care at all
