Thanks so much for this! Was interested in the Apollo Twin Duo and now I know I need it! Will replace the Digi 002 I've used for a decade, and I can still go optical to my Behringer 8200 for 8 more channels (10 total simultaneous should be enough for what I do). That's really the only reason I'd get an Apollo over the cheaper Arrow, the Arrow doesn't have the optical input so there's no way to expand. Thanks so much for the great demo!

Literally just bought the Scarlett 2i2 for my TLM 102 mic. I'm ordering a Apollo duo now. You have to be really decent at mixing to get good sound from the Scarlett. From what I have been reading/hearing, Apollo will make you shine out of the box. If you have a good mic.

I’m doing a hybrid setup cuz I have a lot hardware too, Mpc and some sound modules that I’m fond of. I’m going to link the Apollo to my 18i20 for extra I/Os plus I like a lot of the vintage plugins that will help with boosting the overall sound that hardware already has

Thanks for clarifying this Interface for me! Never understood why they cost soo much until now. So basically, if you have a pretty powerful CPU, and you don't plan on using a lot of real-time fx and plugins, a focusrite will be just fine.

If you are using Mac, you can consider the Arrow instead of Solo.Bus powered Thunderbolt 3 with near Zero Latency... but you still have to buy the cable though 😁

Yeah but the DSP on the arrow is a joke, you can only run like 5 plugins before it’s maxed, and if you want to use a unison preamp that takes up almost 50% of the DSP, before you get the arrow make sure you’re ok with having very limited onboard DSP

how did you connect the usb c drive to your computer i got the adapter but i dont have a port for it. if i get a usb c to usb adapter will it work or nah?

If your Mac doesnt have usb c then it should have a thunderbolt port so you wouldn't even need an adapter. But if you just have usb then a c to usb adapter would do the trick

You still need a cable but you won’t need the adapter if you already have thunderbolt. If not you just need the usb version

You can still use Waves within your daw just not in their built in console

SHANDULLU if your computer has a little lightning symbol next to the port that looks like a USB-C port then it’ll work. But if it’s just a regular USB-C port it won’t work, your computer needs to support thunderbolt. But they make Apollo’s that use USB, so I would just get one of those if I were you.

SHANDULLU also if you have an HP be carful because they put a little symbol next to their USB C ports that look like the thunderbolt logo but it’s not. Hope that all makes sense.

That's how I use it. You don't have to use the console just switch the input to the apollo and record how you would with any other interface.

I know that I have enough processing power and ram seeing as how I have and i5 intel running at 4ghz with 12 gigs of ram so its gotta be the interface.
