the sounder base/beacon i am using needs an address, will that be the same address as the heat detector it is attached to or do they use different addresses. cheers

If you're talking about Apollo, sounder beacon bases have different addresses from the detectors. (However Apollo also make ancillary sounder bases, which have the same address as the detector)
