Still watch the video for Apollonia's insights, but here are the Cliff Notes: 1 - not knowing who you are as a person and being a people pleaser 2 - not speaking with conviction/ not being assertive 3 - doesn't say no and puts everything else on hold for her/ losing yourself 4 - losing your honesty and transparency / compromising your integrity and dignity 5 - having a neediness for sex 6 - investing more in relationships than others invest in you 7 - you apologize for things that aren't your fault

The most painful & hurtful comment I've gotten from my ex during our last moment in the relationship, was when she told me I have to stop seeking approval etc. That if she was one of the many out there, they would have taken big advantage of me. And all I did was I sucked it up and refined myself that it's true. So she broke up with me, and of course I went back with flowers and trying my best to make it work but I realized...she left long before that day of our dispute towards her lag against me. And I realized: I need major change and progress for myself because looking back? I did lost myself not only emotionally but also, I wasn't even tackling my financial life to its fullest.

Anyone that was bullied as a child will mess you up as an adult. Being over weight + being bullied will mess you up. Having parents that you couldn't go to regarding said situations messes you up. Having to deal with mental situations as male child all the way to high school will mess you up. It will take years to break such mentality. She can say whatever on this video, but child hood trauma is not easy to just shake off and be who you want to be. The point is to keep working on and keep learning about yourself

Bottom is stick to principles but be flexible with each individual.

Thank you for your explanation. I wish I would have known this 40 years ago. But then I wouldn't be the awesome guy I now am. .. I was a die hard nice guy. I didn't understand what that even was and "why do nice guys finish last?" I answered that question decades ago with a joke that only I thought was funny. You actually connected the nice guy syndrome to sex. I will have to listen to that again. I did have a dependency on porn back then too. My wife didn't like sex, was my mindset she gave me. I ended it after 18 years.

Hi Apollonia: ..love what you're saying. Actually - now - flipping the script some - I LOVE BEING A NICE GUY!! More than ever before! Reason being is that: ..I find that not too much has changed between the sexes in several decades in terms of reciprocation & taking personal responsibility! As an older man in the mid 50's, I understand a lot more of the emotional/physical dances/needs/expectations of the sexes. I have a hell of a lot better understanding than my fears/nightmares of trying to fit in w/ certain females when I was in my athletic teens/20's. Almost overnight - in the last 5 months - without doing much - I'm attracting a lot more younger females for some strange reason who are actually waiting, almost in queue, for me to hang out w/them to do a luncheon or whatever(here-and-there)? Many of them obviously are in between dates/divorces & deciding whether to reconcile w/ old exes, etc? I have to say - it's kinda nice to be in this sort-of mystical-mystique 'cat-bird-seat' for a change. Not having to chase but just using a long-view lens to scope matters! Just taking my time because I'm busy in a global self-employment career during this global Outbreak we're all experiencing. But one of the challenges it presents is that it's harder to pick & choose who and what & where[haha]? So I just abstain & don't choose at all. Just having fun w/ life & myself bcz the need & sense of urgency hasn't been there for a very long time - unlike my younger years - that were full of these types of hurried mistakes. Also there are a lot more single females than ever before(various ages, nationalities, their fears of not wanting to be alone, etc). I also see a lot of females complaining about men in general, but I know I bring a lot of experiences especially in the Emotional Intelligence space that many men know nothing about, therefore making them push too much. Again I know what I have, so I don't rush anything anymore. We can do a few luncheons together & just chill - no pressure. Lastly, if a female isn't ready or not interested, it's ok to leave them to their own vices & move on & no need to look back. There are tons of other open minded females in the global dating sea😂💕

I don't wanna sound like a " mommas boy" when I say this, ( especially since my mom isn't even alive anymore) but I was just thinking, " wouldn't it be great if every guys mom was like this woman in our video here and coached us on this stuff as young boys when we were like 10 or 11 years old. That way when we started dating in our teens, we would already master this stuff. Especially if mom wasn't getting what she wanted out of her marriage with Dad and she thinks, " well Im going to train my son to be different then his dad is to me, so that when he starts dating girls, he will be every girls alpha dream boy." The problem is alot of mothers are so overly protective they don't really want their kids to find true love since they think that love is going to be painful or dangerous for them. It takes a special kind of a mother to want her kids to be like this. Some kids can get help from their dad in this area ( as long as the dad is the type of dad that raise a son to be a guy women want, some dad's can't do this either.) However, a mother can give her son the inside idea on what women like from guys better like a dating coach, but I don't think nearly enough mothers are like this or fathers too for that matter, and most guys including myself had to turn to other sources to learn this stuff or had to depend entirely on their good looks to attract girls, which makes it alot harder for some guys to do.

I don't know what I am doing here 😂🤣 . But one thing I can say is that know your worth and pull away when ignored . I think women need some time to realize if they really need you . And they need to feel the emptiness when you are gone . It is my experience and I am still experiencing it 😁😂😭 . I did ignore not only one time when someone was nice and too caring , and I think I still do to whom always there for me ... But If I ever cared it was for someone who is respectful in the first place .

Yeah this is me. I’m overly nice. I was giving a girl so much time and told her I’d like to spend time with her and get to know her but I was making forth effort and she wasn’t. It was always me going to her for sex and even crossing a boundary. I told her that I felt like she was using me and how I felt and she spent it on me and I was constantly apologizing. Even gift giving trying to show her I care and appreciate her. Many of my friends, and therapist told me that narcissist traits from her but they told me to learn from my mistakes and when I heard that I thought negatively like I did something wrong. Like even when she told me I was affecting her mental health. But when I really sat down and thought about it the mistake I made was still giving this woman my time and energy. When really she didn’t deserve what I had to bring. It’s been 2 years and I still not there emotionally but I’m better . It’s a slow grind but it gets better men. You are worthy.

I understand. Sounds like you were nice to someone who’s not nice. Don’t lose that nice side.
