I'm 23 and i talk to this woman she's 38... She's insecure, she's Christian so we don't have sex and she stays with her parents, and she try's to change me and make me like her... Its draining, she says she can't be with me anymore because I'm not like her, she was the one that wanted the relationship... I feel like she use religion to hide her insecurities and low self worth... She haven't made any goals, she doesn't go anywhere, she don't have any friends, and she can't keep a man.... Hey Men, as much as Apollonia's point is very useful to develop yourself, don't be hard on yourself! Remember, women are insecured and fearful of accepting you and letting you in as much as you are insecured. The only thing you can do to get through this no one's fault situation is get comfortable with yourself, be consistent, deal with your insecurities before send that message to her. You'd have noticed women take time to reply lot of the time, why do you think they're taking the time? They usually let the feeling of anxiety that created by the insecurities out from their stomach and chest. Women are usually better at this because they used to be fearful of things and have learnt to deal with it unlike men. Men challenge the fear naturally, and go against it. Unfortunately challenging your insecurities and go against it doesn't work in dating situations. It will only make the women make more fearful and turn them away from you. The dating game should be played on an emotional playground, because the women are emotional as you are; the difference is they run away from fear and you challenge the fear. If you want to keep the opponents keep playing the game, then release your excitements before think about the replies, keep the fear low, be comfortable and consistent. What if you are the past relationship she's afraid of repeating even though she was the reason it failed? Substance abuse. But over 30 years the love didn't die. So you get back with her and she said she's been clean for four years but then after you get back with her you find out she has an active online dating profile and you notice when you're laying in bed at 2 and 3 in the morning her phone keeps going off. But "they're just friends" she says. Before you came back in her life she was doing one night stands and was not clean you would later learn. If she finally says that she loves you but if you have a fight next thing you know she's posting a new picture on the dating site and thinks you're too stupid to notice. I walked away. I didn't want to. Another five years later I'm still not over it. I haven't been with anyone since. Star-crossed lovers? Just never meant to happen? She claims I'm a narcissist because I expect her to get off the dating sites. I believe even if she's not being physically unfaithful she's being emotionally unfaithful. She makes videos that she puts on her KZbin channel of how I broke her heart. What about my heart? I'm not a kid either. I'm almost 61 years old and I fully expect to die alone. The games some women play just aren't worth it. To be blamed for everything even though I was willing to take 50% credit. How do you cleanse your heart that is so broken you can't move forward? Believe it or not, I'm not insecure. I know exactly who I am and what I want. On the narcissist scale from 1 to 10 she's a seven. The obvious answer is to move on. But there's that damn thing about a broken heart that hasn't mended. A sadness that just does not go away. I can close my eyes and see exactly what she looks like. Firehouse "Love of a Lifetime" is suddenly BS and you just can't bear to listen to it.

You know I listen to you and others like you a lot. And it always seems you're talking to people who never had been good with the opposite sex. But do you have any input on the situation where a man was very good with women and talking to women in a past phase of his life, but for some reason or another has suddenly changed? In my situation I was great at talking to women, but after my long term relationship ended I feel very lame in my attempts to talk and keep a woman interested. Maybe I'll get better with time. The best way to deal with women (& others) is do not trash them, and put yourself first, always. 1) Be polite, honest , & direct. 2) align your words and your actions. A good woman will make your life easier, not more difficult. Politely, honestly, directly lay out reasonable boundaries. And politely, honestly, & directly let her know what you will do if she chooses to cross the line. Then do it, without apology. Mostly, don't be afraid to let her go. Follow these basic rules, and you will discover her 'testing' will decrease exponentially. Women need a leader they can count on. Become a proper man, and she will become a proper woman. If she wants to be in your life, she will change to accomodate you.
