I got pregnant at 18 after deciding i wasn't ready to be a parent , I looked up an abortion clinic. I didn't realize it was a Christian women's facility that encourages women to reconsider before going through with it. I was still on the fence because I knew in my heart I felt it was wrong to have an abortion. Long story short they asked if I was open to watching stories from women who have gone through with it and how it impacted thier life after. I decided to have my son. He is now 15 years old and every time I think of him not being alive I get a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes , hearing him call me mom , look into his eyes, hear his laugh, watch him sleep peacefully and just be who he is. I thank God for those women. I love my son so much and don't want to imagine my world without him 💙

I was 17 when I became pregnant. My Son is now 31 years old. Best "choice" I ever made was to keep him and raise him. Light of my life. *update The Light of my Life (now 33 years old), is going to be a father in December. And I get to have even more light in my life, through the life of my Granddaughter!! WD 40 I’d disagree. You can certainly defy the odds and do well, but the best course of action is adoption so the child ends up in a stable, 2 parent household. Also, getting pregnant at 17 isn’t a good thing to follow, hence why women should hold back more from men, trying to save sex for marriage so you have a better chance of him being “the one.” Again, doesn’t diminish the goodness of the OP’s actions of caring for her child rather than choosing abortion, but it can also be true that her situation began with a mistake (fortunately ending with a thankfully strong mom and good kid)..

I got pregnant at 18, had my abortion scheduled at Planned Parenthood, but had Christian Pro-Lifers share the truth about abortion with me and I couldn't go though with it. I've had to work hard! 3 jobs and going to school and I have never regretted my decision! My guess is these women didn't have a child at a young age and they can't speak first hand about what it's like to choose life for that fetus. I'm thankful for everyone involved in the Pro-Life movement. If it weren't for you I wouldn't have my precious, 14 year old daughter. :)

I can bet if this woman had had her child she would understand. No amount of education or travel can compare to having that precious child. Once a baby is born the mother will see that this baby WAS the "clump of cells" that was in her uterus. She would surely be glad she didn't abort at that point. Im a Christian and recently seeing the light that hasn't been shed on abortion. Also other feminists and the homosexual culture I use to think all were explicable until recently. I'm really seeing how inconsistent I was being. And what God says and what I use to believe. I have reading through the bible with my husband and I am literally changing daily on so many of the views that are the norm. An embryo and a 5 yr old are not the same thing in this context. If we were to use his logic universally then killing any human cells in the body would be 'murder'. If ALL life is precious then cancer cells are precious. I suspect you won't like this argument, but it is on the same level as saying an embryo is the same thing as a 5 yr old.

Well geez..I was a poor kid. However, I didn't get bullied for being poor I got bullied because I was tiny. My mom got pregnant with my brother at 16 and at 17 with me. Lived in the slums of South Central. And here I am now, a child of God saved by grace. Now looking back, all those times I wondered how I survived my childhood and teen years, now I know it was God who was preserving me and had His hand on me the whole time. I had my daughter at 16. My Mother and Father helped me raise her. I’m so thankful I had help! I was married to my children’s Father before because th of my babies were born. She’s been blessed with fertility, that of which women all around the world don’t have and would do absolutely anything to have a child, and to her a baby couldn’t be any less significant than a piece of trash that she threw in the garbage. I’d love to see if she could actually tell a loving mother that her child that she miscarried didn’t matter and wasn’t actually a baby, but a “clump of cells”.
